OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Who cares. I think Kent should worry about avoiding getting his head kicked in again before making judgment calls on anyone.
lol that POS made a career from bagging the tigers . He’s one of the main reasons the tigers got such a poor reputation in the media to begin with . Even minor issues he’d blow up to be 💯 to suit his sensationalist agenda . He’s trying to make sound bites so he can get some kind of position in the zeitgeist to promote his podcast . The same shit he did with nrl360

Penrith are a classic example:
  • in 2021 they were aware they were losing Burton - one of the hottest young properties in the league and Capewell - a very experienced and current Origin player. As well as others including Pangai Jr and Naden.
  • in 2022 they were aware they were losing Kikau - one of the most dangerous edge runners in the league and Koroisau - a very experienced and current Origin player. As well as others including Hopgood, Staines, jennings and O'sullivan.
  • in 2023 they were aware they were losing Crichton - the best centre in the league and Lenui - a very explosive benchie with SOO potential. As well as others including Hosking, Salmon and Cogger.
  • in 2024 they were aware they were losing Luai - a local mainstay, SOO rep and one of the best no.6s in the world and Fisher-Harris - a tough as nails prop and current captain of NZ. As well as others including Turuva and Iongi.
Did they [This word has been automatically removed] and whine and start crap on social media and become the number one news article about player riffs and let these players leave early etc...
Nope.
They won the GF each year and then got on the piss for a week as they said their goodbyes.
Kenty is a bit of a dipshit, but he is right on this one.
did any of the players you speak of turn up with a dossier of grievances regarding the head coach that had given them the opportunity to play first grade and develop?

If this talk is true and he's already on the nose at the dogs and has to switch to Parra, awkward.
The Galvin truth has hit the fan karma for that turd, Gus's decisions make him look like an idiot, daddy with his impatience gets the shits with Moses and wants him gone fantastic.

All speculation and some fantasy but as Tigers supporters we are allowed to dream.
If it is true , ( not calling you a liar @Odessa, just playing devils advocate) , it really either says 2 things .
The dogs knew this team wasn’t it , so they think they can go through some short term loss long term gain to improve the spine … or…
They’ve really miscalculated the precarious ecosystem that a footy team locker room can be … I dunno

But but but …… if I go on a tigers forum as a cowboys supporter…. How can I position myself as the voice of reason , if I start to include all the variables ?
It will just weaken my position with the 3 people who don’t find my posts to be like chlorine to the eyes…

That's a cool theory, but here's the truth....

Group 1:
Burton, Capwell, Pangai Jr , Naden, Kikau, Korosau, Hopgood, Staines, Jennings, Osullivan, Critta, Spencer, Hosking, Cogger, Salmon , Fisher Harris, Luai, Turuva, Iongi

Group 2:
Galvin

Out of the 19 panthers players leaving, I dont recall hearing anything about any one of those players having negative things to say about the club or playing group.

Galvin did.

Where's my proof?

Someone I grew up playing footy with who played NRL with a current tigers player, informed me that Galvin was a fkn jerk and basically called the playing group shit to their faces. This isnt someone I can message daily for updates, or i become "that guy".... but I got the info at the time when it happened.

Why the fk do you think Terrell May told him to stfu and sit down? These guys play for money. It was never about Galvin just leaving for money, its the way he did it and throwing shit at his team mates and club on the way out.

No, it's not in the media. But it was the message passed on from a senior player, to a former player, to me.

I am led to believe that this caused a rift between Galvin and TDS for a short period of time.

Why do you think that Luai had said that Galvin had to "earn our respect" or whatever the exact quote was, when asked about him returning to the NRL? That comment isn't about money, never was. The only money banter was from Tito, which was meant to be funny taking the piss to a group of his mates... but this has just distracted everyone from the truth of it all.

You can argue with me till you are blue in the face, but this sh1t went down.

And anyone that has played a team sport will understand that if you do this as an indiviudal against your team - then shit is going to hit the fan.

Richo and Benji protected Galvin (they do have the kids best interest at heart) and themselves from Moses camp with their legal action by playing him the following few weeks.

Tucker, I've revealed where I got my info from. So if you can come to terms with this, I might actually give you another chance.

Penrith were laden with talent and couldn't keep them all due to salary cap restrictions and in Burton's case lack of pathway in favoured position due to Cleary and Luai. Strong clubs have to face that reality.
The situation with Galvin is vastly different and the managers involvement inflamed the situation with fans that were philosophical about him not taking up the offer but were then filthy about the tactics used to get him out of honouring his contract.
Dont think any of Penrith players agitated for early release by making bullying accusations.

Anyone been on the Kennel to see their reactions?

Pity that they have a bye this week. Wouldve been interesting if they had lost 2 in a row.

Love the drama it creates that's got nothing to do with us.

Funny thing is we can just keep delaying his release and keep asking for more money haaha

He said they were shit to their faces? Where does this kid’s audacity come from?

Theyre not comparable...not even close
No, youre right.
That club was losing far bigger players, who had been with the club for far longer and whose exit impact could be seen at the time to be far more devastating.
They acted like professionals and worked together.

IN your business, if you had an employee talking shit about the company and team - does everyone just get on with it?

Or do humans act like humans and have emotional reactions?

Just asking, incase you work with robots

I said earlier this has some Adam Blair vibes about it. Imagine if they lose Mahoney and Sexton to land young turdhead and go backwards as a result. I could understand Parra being this desperate but I don’t know why the Dogs are prepared to take this risk. It will also be interesting to know what the extent of the player revolt is at Belmore.

I have always maintaned thats a shit go and that was not the correct way to air greivances.
We have no idea how it was all received at Penrith.
THEY KEPT IT INHOUSE!

Honestly, we aren't getting any money from letting him go early. $165k is nothing, the moment he comes close to signing with someone, we can delay it by asking for more money.

Make him sit at home and screw up other team's seasons.

Maybe we can go and approach Dolphins and ask them to put in a bid and ask them for a return player.

Literally anything is better than $165k.transfer that doesn't help us with our cap.
