OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

How did that class work out mate ? Real masterstroke
What ? Are you 15? It went like he it was always going to go . Only Benji proved himself a gentleman . And a class above .
I mean , you may not appreciate that because you’re either a child , or you think like a child , but to everyone else , that shows a guy who when faced with a moment where he could soo easily have called Galvin a dog , and a rat , and everyone would have agreed with him , he chose to take the high road and not dog the kid out . Despite deserving it 💯.
That shows a guy who’s got your back . Whether you see it or don’t , that’s your choice .

Seems like the "Hes gone" statement instead, tho

BREAKING

Lachlan Galvin joins Canterbury Bulldogs effectively immediately, ending two-month Tigers contract saga

Lachlan Galvin is officially a Bulldogs player, with the 19-year-old Belmore bound after securing a release from Wests Tigers, ending a wild two-month contract saga with the club.

It’s official, the Bulldogs have signed Lachlan Galvin.
The 19-year-old will join the Kennel, effective immediately, bringing an end to his two-month contract saga with the Wests Tigers.

Galvin will link with Canterbury as soon as Thursday on a deal that will take him through until the end of the 2028 season.

The deal averages out as just over $750,000 per season - and is less than what rival suitor Parramatta were offering.

Up until now, Canterbury have been reluctant to declare Galvin’s signing as a done deal.

That can now be confirmed as official, although the Dogs may hold off from formally announcing the signing until after Wednesday night’s State of Origin opener.

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson is aware Galvin’s management finalised the deal with Bulldogs GM of football Phil Gould on Wednesday, and is now in the final stages of rubber-stamping his release in conjunction with both the club and Galvin’s lawyers.

Despite claims of bullying from Galvin against the Wests Tigers, it’s anticipated that the release hinges on it including a non-disparagement clause, which will keep the teenage talent from publicly discussing his reasons for leaving the club.

The Bulldogs are supportive of the clause as they want Galvin to focus on his new future at Belmore without the prospect of being tangled up in a war of words with the Tigers.

The Eels can feel hard done by.

Few know how extraordinarily close Parramatta went to signing Galvin, with the teenager likely to reveal, in time, that he had decided to join the Eels last Friday, only to change his mind after speaking with his family and one of his closest mentors, Bulldogs assistant coach Luke Vella across last weekend.

The release from the Wests Tigers includes a $175,000 release fee which CEO Shane Richardson will use at his discretion.

The Bulldogs have a bye this weekend, allowing Galvin to settle into the club’s training program without a major urgency to be rushed into a starting line-up.

He is expected to be named in Canterbury’s 22-man squad to face Parramatta on the King’s Birthday Monday holiday at Accor Stadium in round 15.
Oh look who breaks it , mr swallows who’s got a hold of Isaac’s left pocket , and mr spits who’s holding Isaac’s right pocket . What a surprise …..

I was flabbergasted to see it. The amount of people who know this game inside and out, who have repped at every level and won premierships, that were talking him up IMMEDIATELY was crazy.
Mick Ennis was calling him a superstar after about 4 games! Channel 9, the journos on all shows, podcast people...Even fans on here were going way, way overboard. Gould said he was the best young player hed ever seen. Massive call from a bloke who has been associated with first grade since 1976!
If he manages to become a star in this game, considering the expectation and pressure he is under (a lot self inflicted), then you have to tip your hat. Itll be some achievement.
It's all part of the NRL machine. Sports organisations benefit from having "stars" in the game.
And rightfully so. They are on top of the table and don't need him. A 19 year old who hasn't even served a proper apprenticeship.

And one the captain doesn't want to play with him it will be fun for Gus ego vs player's

His soulmate Vella got him to backflip at the last minute and screw over Parramatta… I don’t hate it …
Watch Villa get released within a year .. Thats how Dogs work they hired him to get Galvin...

There saying, "Breed not Brought" They have the highest number of external players in the comp.

I’m finding the banter between keeping notes and not hilarious.

I think we all keep notes, some just organise them and some don’t. If someone emails you saying they agree to a price, time line etc; if you don’t delete it, it’s a note.

Some are more anal than others about making it easier to recall when needed.

@Tucker makes it seems like he is making contemptuous notes about each encounter he has a work like he is a KGB operative. Surely he is exaggerating otherwise he surely wouldn’t get any work done.

As anyone who has to write contemptuous notes in their line of work knows, they are painful and take up a large part of their day. If it wasn’t needed and specialised you wouldn’t be productive.
When I read stuff like this it becomes very clear Im talking to people who dont operate in the same sphere. I work with Teir 1 builders. Everyone who hasnt been sent broke by these guys does this. It is common practise and smart practise. It doesnt take all day, how slow do you type/write?
Yeah every job has a bit of cover you A… but Galvin wasn’t doing as part of his normal day to day job, he was doing it to come up with a legal argument to get out of his contract. You reep what you sow, if his new team is weary of the lengths he went to not caring about the consequences of his actions, that those notes may hurt his old team mates and coach when put into the hands of day of his manager, they have that right also.
I have said over and over and over .....again that I thought his dossier was a shit go. it wasnt used correctly. No problem with it in principle if he was compiling issues to raise in 3 monthly reviews or one on one meetings with Benj or the like but to save it all for contract negotiation and use it as a weapon is a clear indication it was a premeditated exit strategy document.

Or the old fashioned reach around

According to some media - his new team mates might be thinking the same way. Gould never asked them for their thoughts. Was only thinking about himself. Hope Stevie Mortimer is okay. In my thoughts. The Slater of the 80's.
Gus is only good to point out where your wrong , if he stays any longer his EGO kicks in , got 2 give him credit , he gets it done
