OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Pretty sure it was the doggies all along.. the eels was just a smoke screen..
Even in his interview with Weidler after it all happened - it was written all over his face that Parra was never an option when he was asked the question.
Which pretty much proves gus had a deal from the start because if it was about what's best for galvins footy it was go to parra or stay at tigers

Yeah, I heard the dogs were expecting this to all play out post November 1 and that was their plan all along.. But Richo fast tracked it and forced their hand...

You could almost say that Richo single handedly derailed the doggies season...
….or he was totally outplayed.

Good post. Whatever Galvin is on $ wise, he is not worth it. Some foresight from our club on both those younger players.
What are you talking about?
We were going to give him huge money AND make him the focal point of our attack.
We are lucky he went there. It wasn’t through good management,

….or he was totally outplayed.
There was no real play since Galvin was going to leave all along. But the Dogs didn’t have/need another gear as they were already ticking along nicely, so introducing Galvin was either going to make no difference at all, or have a negative one. That being the latter was just a cherry on top - either way whatever Richo did, or however Galvin’s departure was expedited was a positive for us.

I don’t think there was a great mastermind move , after all the club did offer him the big money and went all in and no matter how much anyone wants , can’t spin it otherwise

If Richo pushed this along , it was not to force the doggies hand. it would have been to get certainly with what money they had to play with in terms of the salary cap going forward .. ie needed to know what money left over as to what available to spend on remaining positions.

What I think has occurred , goulds over the top hype fooled everyone in thinking that Galvin is better than he is and Gould even fooled himself, (maybe a ego thing couldn’t have a player he talked up so much going to his rivals the eels or fact that they were linked to a lot of big name players recently and not getting them ie hunt and pappy).

Either way , nothing special about Galvin
Physically , slow and currently not a good defender
Skilfully : his kicking game is relatively ordinary , better short and passing game well no different to dozens and dozens of others
Game management : no skill
Fitness yeh probably

However fortunately it’s panned out well , tigers have got rid of him now, bulldogs season and I think next season derailed

The kid's lost confidence. No comparison between early season Galvin with Tigers and late season Galvin with Dogs. Isaac and Galvin's dad screwed up massively. They threw him in the deep end before he could swim and now he's sinking down to Davy Jones' locker. And Tigers save a mill a year.

I just want to say to all the bulldogs fans:

We put so much effort into Galvin. We rearranged our team, adjusted our org, he was going to be the key person our team was built around...

Then You guys just swoop down and take him off our hands....

I just want to say:

THANK YOU 🙂!!!
He's going to be the next Luke Brookes! Just hope the Dogs keep him for 10 years.

Pre Galvin - leading the comp, partying in the streets...
Post Galvin - look a good chance to go out in straight sets with their fans disillusioned...
Wouldn't exactly call that a win, would you?
Your giving Richo credit for that is pure fantasy. It is a happy coincidence.
We wanted Galvin and went all in on him. Our reaction derailed our own season as well.

We’ve been through all this. We don’t need to employ revisionist perspectives.
We failed to secure his signature, not forced another club to take him.
Before he came out and said he wanted to leave, the vast majority of fans on here wanted him to stay.
Now is it a happy coincidence? Yes. Have we ended up better off? Not presently - depends how we spend his money and how well Latu comes on.
Rather than revel in Schadenfreude of the Dogs, let’s look at our own backyard. This event derailed our season as well.

He was given a free pass by Benji to do what he wanted …. Looking at how he plays at the Bulldogs, he is playing to tight instructions…

Having said that …I wouldn’t say he was anything special earlier in the season with the Tigers … teams defensively worked him out …. If he wanted to run with the ball move up on him and cut down his time because he doesn’t have the pace to step around plodding forwards …

Yeah...thats how it looks to me

NRL 360 are the only ones making it clear he sucks. They are trying to do it in a professional way and not destroy the kid, but its obvious no one on that show rates him except Read who is just a puppet for anyone who will talk to him
Also calling out how the dogs send out talking points to the media each week highlighting stat's and plays to support the decisions. Typically the lazy media eat it up so they don't have to do their own research.

he criticised Benji but was actually playing better under him than he is with ciro.
