OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

One thing that's stood out to me is that he's grown even taller.

He's like 195cm now and could still be growing. Has there ever been a half that tall that's been successful? Guys that size aren't quick off the mark and he'll always be an easy target in tackles unless he bulks up significantly.

Someone will post the full article, but it's a pro Gould renovation job bordering on embarrassing. Gould totally generated the environment to expose this kid, and now he's pushing Gould as the savior.

Let me first say that online abuse is never Ok. I've been guilty of it myself, especially with Galvin but it's usually been said in jest. If he's getting threats and stuff, it's not Ok

No matter what he did, he doesn't deserve "abuse". However, there's a lot between abusing and "booing".

However, Gus and Galvins only have themselves to blame with the way they've carried on. Gould will no doubt start having a shot at the media but

They screwed with the Wests Tigers and his family would have been neck deep in it specially his father , They played the eels along the way , Gould set Galvin up to be the master of the dogs but Kama got them and Galvin is just a Week link in that team , blame Gould the fool , he did all this with his dribble week after week until he got Galvin , I say suck it up , and the other thing if they don’t want to see abuse don’t get on social media , that’s where it is , stop looking for great stories about your son , they aren’t there
 
Any CEO in our position would have done their best to secure Galvin especially given the hype that was generated about him externally. Richardson was absolutely right to make it come to head especially given the well known knowledge that he was out and about speaking to other clubs and IMoses and Benji were not on speaking terms. Prolonging the constant focus on his future was not ever going to be beneficial to the club or the team - especially when it was common knowledge that he was not committed.
We needed to plan for our future just like Galvin was and getting him off our books as it turned out was clearly the best outcome for us -whether that was the original intention or not.
As for what Galvin is going through now that is all on him and his advisors.

The bulldogs plan was always November 1. So its not fantasy to suggest that putting the bulldogs in the predicament mid-season, which didn't align with their plan, played it's part in what happened next. If they didn't have to snap him up mid season, they continue with sexton in the halves.. you can't deny that.

And yes, it had an adverse effect on our season - the kid we built the team around left mid season... I am sure most teams would also have issues in this situation.

But don't be so naive to think that if Galvin stayed, and we were on the brink of the 8, that it wouldn't have completely derailed our season when the media leaks started to come to light..

I stand by what Richo did in "popping the pimple".. if he didn't, we'd have finished 2025 with Galvin in the halves and no idea what 2026 looked like.. Jarome would still be playing 7.. it worked out better for us long term ...

So on paper - the tigers are in a better position going into 2026, whilst the bulldogs have outsmarted themselves and thrown away any shot at a premiership in 2025... If they didn't drop sexton, that final would have been played at Accor.. they probably beat the storm...

I acknowledge that I am drawing alot of long bows, but none of this bulldogs derailment takes place if Richo waited until November 1. That's my take anyway

Why anyone would jump on the internet amd directly abuse and threaten a 20 year old and his family over a game of Football is beyond me.

Probably the same people who would fall in a heap and ask for photos if they met him directly.

It sums up so many of the things wrong with the world today. If its anyone here... give yourself an uppercut, coward.
