I get that impression too...see it in the juniors a lot with the gun playersLachy plays like he is happy as long as his own game ends with up with a try assist or a try. Just doesn't give vibes of a team player and that will never sit well with his team mates no matter what support he gets from his coach.
He was horrible however had a try and a couple of try assists...Preston was the real star on the right.Unluckily he was their only attacking threat so not many Dogs fans would berate him too much.
To be fair he was their only player to look dangerous at all today.I get that impression too...see it in the juniors a lot with the gun players
'Dangerous' (to the Bulldogs) in defence too 😀To be fair he was their only player to look dangerous at all today.
I agree. He was ok today and yes he would have been better off staying put. poorly advised in my opinionTo be fair he was their only player to look dangerous at all today.
Not much support … and let’s not forget their early season winning form was against bottom 8 teams.
He would have developed better with us… his advisors got it wrong.
Hmmmm, I don’t think so. What would have happened here is that we would have encouraged him to play what he saw which would have amplified his hog plays and negated any work on his weaknesses - of which there are many.He would have developed better with us… his advisors got it wrong.
I care.Who really cares??
Off to the dragons?Mason is the one who wants out
As much as I hate to say it I was a little envious of the short ball that led to his try.Hmmmm, I don’t think so. What would have happened here is that we would have encouraged him to play what he saw which would have amplified his hog plays and negated any work on his weaknesses - of which there are many.
He had 3 linebreak assists, 2 try assists and a try as well as making 30 tackles. When he had an off game with us, those figures were never sighted.
Them and Brisbane. That game is gonna be a cracker.Sexton was really poor so the loss isn’t Galvin's responsibility on his own. I reckon it was the Panthers best game of the year. Talk about peaking at the right time of the year.
Wonder who plays 7 next year though?Galvin was back to his tigers form today. He looked threatening at times, made some errors at others and kicked poorly throughout. I was at the game so not sure how it looked on the telly, but it's interesting how all of the attack and movement went through him with Burton and sexton virtually anonymous. Even the playmaking locks, who usually are very involved, weren't involved much. It made me think of how that was also the case for us last year and earlier in the year this year, even with luai.
His pass to Preston and support play was very classy. Then there was a lot of glory hog passes that didn't come off and a couple of times that happened when they were in good attacking situations and were desperately in need of a controlled attacking set to wrestle back some momentum. He was smiling and cursing himself on one of his poor passes, so sort of kid having fun playing footy sort of vibes, not really the stern always plotting Cleary type.
One but of progress in his play is he looked a little more composed on the right side than he has in the past. Whenever we tried to play him on that side it was a big mess. So perhaps he's getting better. I still think he's a long way off the top halves in the game.
At this stage it was a massive mistake by the dogs. Next year is where he no longer has excuses and should play like the highly paid half he is.
