one word: success.

the tigers came second last last season. im sure membership numbers were high going into 2006\. you can analyse for eternity, but i think the biggest factor by far is simply that success breeds supporters and members.

What about Parra?? 2 wooden spoons in a row. Yet they are cracking over 17000 members already. Established before WT but surely another Sydney club WT can be compared to.

The Weststigers are not one club ….. the organisation from day one has split the club three ways and continue to do so,theres the Wests fans -Campbelltown the Balmain fans- Leichardt and there's the Weststigers fans that have to travel to what ever ground management decides to go to! There is no use beating around the bush with this issue as it's not going to go away. The Westsigers probable have more supporters than pretty much anyone else so until someone else can enlighten me why the club does no not attract members this is my explanation. The Westsitgers have to bite the bullet like many other clubs have a make the decision to play out of ONE GROUND . this will upset many but in doing so will finally create a club that is combined and moving forward to the future and not languishing in the past!!

The Eels have a Leagues Club with pokies and bistro meals etc. what do the Wests Tigers have in comparison???

Disagree. I feel like St George Illawarra playing out of 2 grounds works for them and their Red V appears to be pretty successful.

I didn't take on membership last year for a multitude of reasons, and was considering signing up again this year, however my weekends are usually very busy so I'm opting to just be a non-ticketed member this year and just rock up when I can.

I'm curious to know what the percentage is of non-ticketed members compared to ticketed.

There is other options CB,
From what I can see you can take the supporters membership ( non ticketed ) for $50 or,
You could take a claws ANZ Bronze membership for $50, get the benefits of being a ticketed member plus 4 games to ANZ.
If you cant make it to the game its still only cost you $50, if you can its a bonus.

What I think is wrong is the family packages. I have a 13 and a 15 yr old that are too old to come under the family package (12 yrs for children) so will cost me an extra $240\. Surely children under 16 are still counted as family. As it is I work 4 days on / 4 days off and I'm taking a gamble on purchasing tickets before they release the 2014 draw.

You can get a concession though right jc? But you're right, should be under 16 or something. 12 is far too low. They'll be at home for probably another 6 years but suddenly they dont come under a 'family' package.

One of the biggest clubs in NSW - Wests Ashfield (and technically Tigers at Five Dock & Flemington and to a lesser degree Campbelltown)

One out of four aint bad when comparing to Parra Leagues which is adjacent to their home ground.
We get it four times, they get it 11 or 12

That's right R3,
the extra $240 is at the concession rate.

Why do people have to have jerseys etc included in memberships when you can already buy the bloody thing if thats what you want.

Its a membership, not a jersey….do you complain that you dont get a steak s/wich included when you buy a coffee?

Do you not realise in an attempt to keep membership prices down, the goods that are included in the membership packs (cap keyring sticker lanyard etc) are of minimal quality....if you want quality the prices soar

I read 1500 odd somewhere HT

1500 are you serious Ink

Didn't we have about 5000 this time last year ??

1647 now.

5k happy, gee…. thought they'd be up after mayer said they were up 10%, although that was only a day or two after it came out.

I was asking a question , but I thought we were in pretty good shape this time last year

Probably wrong as Smeg said

5k by xmas sounds about right. we should be able to break 6 or 7k by then i reckon. still got 2 more months and hopefully the RLWC will generate some NRL interest and interest for our boys.

Do we count their members as ours?

_Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

Leagues Club membership is completely separate and different to football club membership..

In the case of WT, members are technically just season ticket holders.

Unlink membership with game attendance.

This.

Membership to your football club has nothing to do with how many tickets you want. It's about identity and support. The NRL needs to address this badly.
