Lame Membership Numbers - Whats the fix?

Thing is our squad is so much better for season 2014 than it was fotr 2013, yet our memberships are like half.

Any real fan should have optimism and confidence that the club is going to improve, whereas last year we had a bad squad with less potential, that played poorly and came 2nd last.

There's a lot more reason to sign up for a membership next season than there was for this one just gone.

The club should auction off memberships on eBay… They may be surprised at the response..

numbers will jump after 9s for the clubs that do well there.

let's make sure we are one of them and make it outta the group stages.

send this to the club alexaki… Not only is this a clever way to engage potential consumers, it could also give the club a clearer picture to the perceived value of our memberships.

Well Done for thinking outside the square!

Yeah brilliant … Why not put it on the back of a shop-a-docket with a two for one offer and really give the club a good image .... Fair dinkum :unamused:

We might have to start selling a single game General Admission membership. Buy a membership to one game, as you are now a member your get your future games at a reduced price.
Will eliminate those fans who are unsure if they can make it to several games.
Just a thought !

This has to be the way to go. Simple but effective JC. Every Tigers fan that walks thru the gate would then be a member. Has to add 8-10,000 members. Put tickets to game 1on sale now and see what happens.

There really needs to be a clarification on what constitutes a 'membership'. Season ticket holders and membership can be totally different. Perhaps all clubs need to report on their ticketed and non-ticketed memberships.

These days with pet, baby, out of towners and then there's single game memberships and it all just starts getting ridiculous. With all these various memberships you really can't get a gauge on the correlation between memberships and attendances.

Who knows, maybe Parra have 5000 pet memberships through the sponsoring of a vet and that's why they have so many 'members'.

What next anyone who buys a team's tshirt, jersey or sticker is also a member? Anyone with orange, black and white footy socks is a member?

Don't get me wrong all these various memberships are good marketing and revenue for the club, but the inconsistencies in reporting makes comparisons extremely difficult.

Our packages are fine, they just need to work on renewing existing members. We're not going to attract many, if any new members until the season starts (and if we're playing well) but if we can re-sign a majority of 2013 members we'll be doing ok in the meantime.

The reference of Membership is completely false as they are simply selling Season Ticket Packages…

For the count, they only recognise Ticketed packages as part of the Membership Count at each club.

Our Existing member renewals is shocking considering I could easily get 4 new seats (together) in the Main Grandstand at Leichardt. this year and have not been able to do that over the past 3 years.

Not a good sign at all … Will be interesting to see how many gaps there are in the stands when game day comes around ... Excluding Homebush of course as it will only draw about 12 or 14k

Or, if they are all like you, get them to throw in a few free drinks with the memberships…. That'll solve it.

"all like you"???

You sound like a whining sook lately and someone who is throwing their toys out of the cot.

Thank you for identifying I am not like you. I won't kill myself today!

4116 today, so things have picked up a little. Still a long way to go…

that's nice to hear

but yup, long way to go. 5k by early-mid jan should be the aim. dunno where those memberships are gonna come from… thought post-draw boost would have been substantially more.
