Land lines

Seeing the other thread going about internet providers I thought I'd ask who still has landlines

Of the 35 staff I have I think 5 have land lines

Wondering if that percentage was the same on the Forum

Well I have one but I never use it and No one has the number to it except for sales people. the only reason I have it is because (I think) It is the only way I can have an Internet connection.

I live in a rural area and the landline used to die when it rained, when it was dry, when it was windy, when it was cold, when it was hot etc etc.
Waste of time. & getting Telstra out to fix it repeatedly wasn;t worth the hassle.

Never use the home phone, have a nice new high tech one though with video camera door bell.

Call it sometimes though if my Mrs isn't answering her mobile.
Has a few hand sets and it's loud so is heard louder than the mobile so more likely to be answered.

Land line bill is $0 each month.

Yea I have one. Hate mobiles - use them when out only. Have a Telstra package which includes landline, 200 gigs of data, tbox and all calls in Australia to all phones.

I'm one of the lucky ones..I have NBN at my place I'm on a 1TB plan with 50/20MBs speed..I have VoiP for my phone service..no landline…maybe that explains why I'm always on here....lol

If u don't mind me asking , what does it cost u per month. I heard that it was expensive to have the NBN..

Not at all….I pay $94 per month for the data and $10 per month for the VoiP service...my local and interstate calls are free... remember there is no landline rental which is normally $30/mth..
