Until one half of the JV is called upon and fails to meet a funding request as per the agreement it is a non issue

My point was regarding the significant matter of a broke half of the JV and how that affects WT.
No suggestion that magpies would return to NRL level.
Balmain FC/Leagues Club financial is a serious matter, its not about history and tradition of saving a football club brand - its $$$
Cronulla are sweating on a property deveoplment to survive. If that falls through, cronulla may be banished.

@Tiger Watto said:You Wests blokes are kidding yourselves… The ARLC would withdraw the Franchise Agreement at the end of the 2012 season if any of this became a reality. The logic in punting Gallop was for his love affair in keeping all the existing Franchises. The ARLC wants Sydney Culled to expand the competition into 'other' territories, while keeping the 16 Team Format.
They already have a shortlist, do you want to give them a new name to add to it?!
@Tiger Watto said:People/Companies dont buy into new businesses to keep injecting funds… In most cases [well mine anyway], they make their injection/investment, and then sit back and enjoy the dividends?!
@galahs said:The constitution of the joint venture venture prohibits anyone else buying into the jv, and the only way the constitution can be changed is by unanimous board room decision.

If WT went to its stakeholders and asked for capital, the stakeholders would conduct a vote on the amount of capital which it is prepared to inject.. With a 50/50 partnership, it only requires 50% to decline the request, which would most likely happen if Balmain didnt have the excess capital.
As a result, Balmain's struggles from a financial aspect are irrelevant as they have invested enough into the WT's. From thier position, they no longer need to inject capital into the Wests Tigers, because WT's can meet its own debts either through income or servicable loans…

@Gary Bakerloo said:The meeting, which will be attended by the boards of Western Suburbs football club, Balmain football club, Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club and Balmain Leagues Club, will be the first time the partners in the joint venture have come together since the formation of Wests Tigers in 1999.
@Gary Bakerloo said:Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, which effectively bankrolls Wests Tigers as Balmain Leagues Club has been closed for more than two years, agreed to fund the Magpies' NSW Cup team after supporters organised a protest rally in February to save the club.

I agree with Staks. It is crazy to think this is first time the stakeholders have met since 1999.

Is this correct? Does not sound it to me - surely Balmain has been meeting its obligations?
@Yossarian said:When they say bankrolls it is a bit misleading. Very little of the money needed to fund WT comes from Wests or Balmain and that percentage is decreasing all the time.
