Last Set of 6

What did everyone make of it? Don't know if it was necessary at an away game, especially the running backwards and then Benji throwing the ball at one of the Warriors players.

Don't make this thread a "always looking for negatives" convo either guys, I think we played amazingly in the backend of that 2nd half but the last minute could have been dealt with more professionally.

Benji got slammed for playing the game at the back end of the panthers almost cost us the game, now he's going to get slammed at the back end of this game, doing the safe thing. I'll take it and the two points thanks.

Woo!

As far as the set, tackles 1-5, I had no problems with the defensive/conceeding of tackles and slowing the play the ball up to waste time… and im sure you had no problem with it either and were not referring to that.

As far as the last tackle, well running it back was more a time waster I think. If he kicked it out instantly I think there was a small small chance of a NZ scrum being set. The Warriors defender pushed benji over the goal line i think.

Benji was stupid to throw the ball at him, and the ref had every right to actually blow a penalty (all be it very harsh). The fight was too unneccessary

Haha, safest way to take the ball dead though. I didn't mind it, I just didn't want a shocking miss-kick to touch which we are totally capable of.

He was just securing the game for us.. He only threw the ball at Brown because Brown pushed him after he was already out of play. Great stuff Benji!

He played it safe, Warriors didn't like it and shoved him over anyway. He deserved to get the ball thrown at his head. There was no way pushing him over was going to result in anything but the end of the game.

I recall not long ago someone on here bagging the very same thing done by another team, unsportsmanlike etc terms were used.
I thought he'd ground it…that said Brown shouldnt have pushed him into the advertising.
I cant tell you though doing something like that is just asking for a reaction that he got.
Pretty dangerous running into your own ingoal not looking where youre going imo

It was an interesting decision from Benji, can't remember the last time I saw that done. The Warriors went a little overboard with it though with the shove.

Thrilled with the last set and Benji doing that. The ref had the Warriors back 5 metres and any kick could have easily been charged down or anything. Best thing to do by far.

I must admit I wasn't expecting that, but that's Benji eh. Reminded me a bit of Trevor Chappell's infamous underarm bowl though, for some reason

Benji seemed like he was having fun, and then he got slammed in the advertising.
Very dangerous. That warrior asked for thee reaction and got it.

No problem with anything, except the push at the end, just stupid, dangerous and uncalled for.

heh yeah I was reminded of that too

Remember 2005 major semi against st George when Brett Hodgson did the same thing! No one even spoke of it. Go Benji. One happy tiger here

It was very smart. Looked like a Sheens special to do that.

I was wondering why they weren't at least trying to get reasonable field position for a kick into touch, what they did was a smarter idea.

It was a great play IMO, he really is starting to show some mongrel and why not rub in the win in front of the warriors fans!

He took the safe option, nothing wrong with that and great to see the team back him up. They need to start wanting to bleed for each other again if they want to make any impact on the competition and today`s game was a real step in the right direction.
