He has openly said he loves club and owes them everything. Was almost in tears as he said it. don't think he has an issue with it. Its just the fans who do.

I can see Benji sticking to a plan with Latu. If he is fragile mentally, coming good from injury or just conditioning. I have no idea if any of this is true as other posters have indicated.
But imo if Latu goes to Benji and affirms he wants to start in the halves I actually believe Benji would make it happen

Have said since day 1 of him coming we need to develop and play him in the halves.

Benji has stuffed it up. We need to stop making him play hooker it lock - it isn’t his spot and never will be.

If he isn’t playing halves at NRL don’t play him ag NRL level. I also think he should start next year / end of this year and AD should shift, this makes way for Latu to get cracking as halfback and then Andrews the year after / cover for Luai.

Interesting that Andrews is wearing the 7 and Latu the 6. Both absolute guns! Our future is safe if we get their development right.

Everyone seems to forget Latu has averaged 10 games a season over 3 years. That isn't alot of footy.

Off topic, Galvin knew that Latus future was going to be in the halves. Galvin also knew the club planned to move him into a #13 role (referenced it in an interview where he said he'd fight it as long as he could).

Its been a timing issue.

It turns out Galvins decision to leave is probably dumb as dog shit, because the spine could have been:

1. Bula
6. Latu / Javon
7. Javon / Latu
9. TBC (if Haywood is ready in 2 years maybe)
13. Galvin

This persistence with Galvin at 7 at the Dogs has me wondering if it's built into his contract he has to play in the halves.

Anyway, if Latu keeps up this level of performance then Benji will have no choice.
