Latu is consistently plugged to be that utility guy .. don’t think it’s a fair assessment
He’s a half and half only. Until he strings some games in his preferred position, he’ll be hard done by imo

I dont think we can keep both latu and Andrews
If club has to pick one I hope it is Andrews, I fear however to appease othwrs it will be latu

Latu will end up at 7 and Andrews at 6. People saying Benji has destroyed him must be kidding, he dropped down to KOE and did not miss a beat. I actually think playing other positions around the middle is not a bad thing for his development, especially for a guy like him that seems to enjoy the collision, hones his defense and gives him insights into the players and positions around him when he does take the 7. AD has been a game winner for us, however i don't know if he is the 7 going forward, he does not play as a typical 7 and struggles to deliver much more than a run himself, or a short ball to a 2nd rower...when he goes for the cut out its often off target and our winger has to stop to catch it and loses momentum. I hate to say it but he is a bit of a Galvin with a bigger body but less stamina and a better kicking game and softer hands.

I’d go Andrew’s as well. Probably too early to call IMO. Both need more development time in the halves. Andrew’s passing game has been great from what I’ve seen. Hopefully they are both patient enough to stay. A.D might play a different role in the next couple of years and Luai will be gone in 28.

We need to keep both of them, even if it means we have to pay one of them overs to kick stones in reserve grade for a couple of years. Doueihi is not indestructible and their time will come, let's make sure it's with us and not elsewhere.
Remember, as good as Doueihi is, he is one bad injury away from medical retirement. Let's not get caught with egg on our faces in a couple of years and saying "oh no wish we kept Andrews or Latu now."

When the time comes for Andrews & Fainu to be #6 & #7, it's Doueihi that will make way.
In what capacity is still to be seen. #13 looks likely. Or he could just shift back out into the centres.

latu may stay for unders to play with his brother etc
reckon Andrews heads off end of 2028 season if he hasn't had a crack.
Plenty of clubs will pay him to play 6 for 2029
Don't think as a club we can keep both with AD signed long term

Upside there is AD is not on 6 or 7 money...if we do see a future with Latu and Andrews, AD could easily get more money elsewhere if he is still playing decent footy. You may even find that he asks for a release because he knows he can get more money elsewhere and the writing is on the wall at the tigers for him to shift out of the halves. If he stays with us to play a utility role or 13/centers we are not paying him overs at all for those positions.

Benji will have AD and Luai as halves, barring injury for 2027 You can bet on that AD is also the goal kicker.....
If Latu is killing it in KOE, then Benji should say to him, for 2028 it's a shootout with you and AD for the half position.
If Andrews continues on his same trajectory, I think he will be 5/8 when Luai leaves.
Andrews is also a very good goal kicker.

Comparing Andrews and Latu is just so unfair and ridiculous. One has only played KOE cup in his preferred position, while the other has spent 3 years and not once played the position he has spent all his life playing. Not once in 3 years. How on earth anyone with a fair mind can assess the 2 of them and say Andrews is the better 6 is beyond belief. What exactly are those people comparing? There is simply nothing to compare to make the call.
I can near enough guarantee that if you put Latu Fainu at 6 in KOE cup for a month and use Andrews exactly like Benji has been using Latu, the same people will claim that Latu is the better player.
Andrews looks great, really like him and would love to see a Latu and Andrews combination one day. All im saying is the comparing of the 2 is downright absurd as there is zero basis to compare anything.
