OFFICIAL Latu Fainu #282

I hope I'm wrong about this but I don't think it's about hardening up, it's about professionalism.

Coming late to training last year, he still looks a little chunkier than 2 years ago, lots of soft tissue injuries, how much S&C does he do?

He needs to make up his mind that does he want to play footballer for fun or if he wants to be a professional athlete.

Theres way more to nrl than skill and talent.

This could be such a massive lucky break for the Tigers. He’s playing for Tonga, not us when this happened. He went into that knowing his body has struggled… surely if the deal hasn’t been signed the Tigers renegotiate. Latu should only be offered a one year deal on 250k.

If this upsets the other brothers, so be it. Better to deal with it now.

Please please please don’t sign him to big money long term. Please, we have suffered enough.

Couldn’t agree more.
This shifts the balance of power our way. Might be able to get Sam cheaper as well by doing them a favour and re-signing Latu, albeit on a reduced contract.

The vultures attacking poor old Latu
Let’s see how it pans out, don’t assume the worst and let’s not throw him to the kerb
I’m still optimistic he’s a big upgrade in our halves in 2027 🙏🏼
Been injured for the last 3 years at the Tigers,
and the year before he came (We bought him injured)
That's 4 years.
Now he's going into next year on the back of another big injury.

How much time do we wait, Who misses a squad spot while that happens - and how much should it cost?
