Laurie has been arguably our best. He's limited by the mud around him. Certainly not our biggest problem.

Also, I don't think Michael Maguire is a good coach. He hasn't anything in nearly a decade, and the only thing people bring up is that he is a 'premiership winning coach.' Payten, Morris, Ivan Cleary, Brad Arthur are all premiershipless, and I think they're better coaches. Go figure.

It's difficult to tell if it's Laurie or the players inside but his injection into the backline seems slow and clunky.
He looks safe as a bank under the high ball but at this stage I'm not seeing the excitement some others are.
I'm also not sold on his positional play but hopefully he'll grow into it.

Oh, and definitely the coach. This idea that we can't sack him because we have a history of sacking coaches is bullshit. He's a spud, albeit a likeable spud.
Laurie is the best fullback in the Club and in the top 3 talent wise..
Only young and will get better. ...IMO.
He puts himself in the right position a lot ..I feel he's just been a bit unlucky with half-breaks ..just needs a bit more bounce of the ball luck to shine on him...
