Lawarence and the Future

Well we all see where it is at , so where does the future lie for Lawrence. I probable think the club has to work out a pay out and take a hit with the salary cap as 2 more seasons will just kill this team .The team will be building around him and the same mistakes /errors and lack of speed will just stunt the side. It was unfortunate that he had that injury but in terms of a premiership winning team sorry that day has past !

We need to hold a chook raffle ..all proceeds go to the Lawrence early retirement fund .

Agree. Hopefully he will realise the damage he is doing to his career and retire like a man. I cant see him making NSW Cup next year, let alone first grade. Turns like a cruise ship.

He won't retire, not with the money he's on. The best thing for all parties is if he tries to get a nice fat contract in England. He'd still make good money over there.

We might just get our wish the hot rumour doing the rounds is three first graders at a Sydney club will get a tap on the shoulder and be told to move on even so they have contracts for next year.

I'm hoping Lawrence is one of them.

Bloody good club man. Hope they give him a few of the Gallen pills and turn him into a front rower. He has the 'speed' for it and the willingness. A centre he is not.

He was at the press conference with potter.

Might be reading to much into it.

But patty Richards was there, and he has filled in before. When anasta was injured.

After Lawrence's worst game of the year, he was taken to the press conference.

Maybe a show of support?

ITS NOT THE BLOODY INJURY FOR GOD SAKE.

His hip does not drop balls nor does it pass to bloody no one, it doesn't miss tackles. He has lost his passion for the game and needs to retire. He is an Ayshford clone.

No, lack of confidence has done that.

Injury = poor form = confidence shot.

The hip injury has been a massive factor in where he is now.

For the same reason they trot Galloway out for promotional vids ….he can string a sentence together. But what credibility does he and Keithy have anymore? I'd rather get someone as the spokesperson who has more positives than negatives, even if they're inarticulate. There's absolutely no point in someone talking about being "disappointed" when they're a significant part of the reason for the disappointment FFS. We're all disappointed. What we need is some hope for the future. Lawrence and Galloway can't contribute to that hope. Get rid of them!!!

He hasn't lost the passion Milky he is playing badly and needs a change

Its his 9th season in grade

What some don't realize we are probably paying 500 k + and will lose out big time if he leaves as we will still be paying his full value

Lawrence & Galloway still have two Years on their contracts to go, How much would it cost us to pay them out? Toooo much thats how much.

The club isn't going to cut either Lawrence or Galloway, 2 problems with that being they'd still have to pay them an amount and that would then affect the money we could use buying or upgrading replacements. If either of them approached the club asking for a release to go overseas I couldn't imagine anyone standing in there way.

Lawrence appears to be in cruise control, maybe getting a bit stale so a stint in NSW Cup and a bit of a kick up the a##e might kick him into gear. Alternatively they could do use than playing him in the back row.

I think that the best solution would be to have him on the bench this week as a replacement back rower for Sironen. If Lawrence plays well there we cold be on to something.
