Lawrence/buhrer

I'm seams like for some reason we have released Taupau for next year and most people have said we are paying him pennies. I personally can't see us getting Ballin in a swap deal as robbie will almost definitely be staying. I personally hope that we get Brenton Lawrence as he is just the sort of player we need and considering they will have Trobjovic, myles, starling, and Taupau who will likely be a prop with reduced interchange. If we can't get him I would like buhrer as he would be a good 80min replacement at lock

Brenton Lawrence is their no 1 prop. You're all pizza and fairytales if you think they'd trade him to us.

Read manly forums team for next year none of them have him in the starting side, on some of the posts he's not on the bench. They have a stacked side and I almost guarantee he will start the year on the bench

The problem with all these scenario's that people are digging up is this

Whoever the player coming has to want to come to the WT's

When you have around 14 clubs in far better shape than we are financially , players talent wise , and less drama wise would you be rushing to the WT's when you can get the same money somewhere else ??

Poisoned chalice I'd say

If Wests are the only place that you can get first grade action, you may not have much choice.

True , but then again do we want to be still feeding on leftovers

Last 5 seasons , apart from Adam Blair who is the biggest signing from another NRL club that the WT's have had ??

Not arguing mate, I agree our recruitment has been poor, largely relying on kids and cast offs.

Things are not going to change overnight. I think next year will show us where we stand with the new board.

Who said that Marty has been released???

Yeah , we know its not official Col

Anyone asked him if its true on twitter or whatever he does ??

I will ask the same question I asked the other day

Will people give it to him like they did Tedesco ??

And that is the thing that is doing my head in, every other team no matter how poor they finish the year get a decent signing or 3, we don't.

I won't. I'll give my reasons:-

1\. I rate Tedesco a lot higher.
2\. Tedesco was a Tigers Junior who was only starting to come on.
3\. JT appears to be ruining this club and I can't blame a player like Taupau for bailing.

Yuck @ Buhrer…
We're on the bad end of the deal if that takes place.

Also,
Tedesco > Taupau

personally i dont think ballin or buhrer would be a good fit.

Ballin is a very experienced campaigner. JT wont like that one bit
Buhrer - not too sure actually…. i think hes a little like Farah in that he can be a weapon out of dummy half... and thats apparently what we are trying to get rid of

Tell me bobo, do you seriously believe that Taylor is going out of his way to ruin this club?

If you do, then you should seek help immediately. First step, get off the kool-aid and any funny cigarettes that you may be smoking.

Tedesco was pushed out by Mayer Teddy never wanted to leave. Now Mayer is out of a job.
Austin and Tapau like Blair don't want to be at our club. They are only here for the money.
Tapau should be forced to stay as should have Austin.

NO, I dont think Taylor is going out of his way to ruin the club.
my feelings towards him are based on everything i have seen of him over a long period.

Do i think he is someone with football brains - yes i do.
Do i think he is trying to do his best - regardless of club - yes i do.

however, and again, i do not believe he has the skills to manage a team in its entirety.
that is all players, all coaching staff, trainers and everything else that goes with it…. front office, player managers, sponsors etc

In addition to that and more critically, he does not command the respect of the players as a group and thats what it all comes down to.

some people will say - i dont respect my boss but i still do my job as best i can....
sure i get that - but coaching and leading young men in a manner where you are essentially telling them to believe in "your way" annnnnnd develop them as young men is a very very different proposition.
When "his" way has negative results - everything is compounded exponentially.

ive been in enough environments to know that when your staff - players and others do not believe in what the boss is saying and or have lost respect for the boss - all bets are off. And this is what it seemed to have gotten to this year.

putting important people within the organization offside, or sacking them or whatever else he has done or allegdly done - all forms that basic notion of being able to handle / manage the group and its many facets so that everyone is going in the same direction.
and this is something he seems to get wrong from the get go.

Anyways, i still believe robbie this taylor that .....everyone will agree - regardless of whose fault or whose side you sit on ... he is front and centre to what we can all agree on as a nightmare situation. ! !
