Lawrence

I'm not taking a pot shot at Adam Blair, but I think his presence on the left hand side effected Lawrences impact and the ball he was fed. I feel that Blair got in the way a bit. When Ellis was on the left he'd run an effective line and Benji would cut him out or pass the ball behind him hitting Lawrence and giving him space. This year I've found the ball player would drift across and instead of hitting Lawrence behind, they'll go short to Blair who'll hold the ball above his head and back into the line. I'm not saying this is Blairs fault, perhaps we just need to find a more effective way of using him. I feel this is one of the reasons why Lawrence hasn't been as effective, he just hasn't been fed any quality ball.

he isnt hitting the ball with purpose. has nothing to do with blair.

Justin Hodges or Josh Morris running off the same unstable halves pairing would of looked just as flat as Lawrence did this year. I don't believe his impact this year was due to a lack of effort.

im not saying its his effort, the injury left him mentally scared.
but he had opportunity.. maybe not as much as he could have had with a different halves pairing, but he still had it… and did absolutely nothing with it... you cant blame everyone else for his lack of form. its him.

I'm pretty sure Lawrence was carrying injury from the start of the year. Someone stated here it was only 70% or something. Still he didn't have a great year. But if you look at it objectively, none of our outside backs did really. Beau was great but outside of that, they were all hit and miss, and i believe it has to do with one thing and one thing only, that being a lack of stability in the halves Mr Sheens!!!!

lawrence's strength is his power running at the line… he has great footwork at the line and the strength to break through. he doesn't need early ball unlike guys like hodges, morris jenning etc. cannot see him leave the tigers at all.

I can see your point. To be fair though there were only a handful of players who you could say showed any form consistently through the year and in the centres your form does largely rely on the opportunities presented by those around you.
