Great news!

Pretty much from top to bottom, we aren't just a merged team but an actual merged club.

Really hoping this stability at the top helps on-field. Players need someone to be proud of, let's show them from the top!

Dinosaurs please not that West Magpies and Balmain Tigers are now part of rugby league folklore we now know WHO WE ARE.

WESTS TIGERS

It's good to see that at ownership level we are now one club as well. A step forward to the club being one club rather than a merger/JV.

Have been a while...

Leagues Clubs amalgamation nothing really to do with Wests Tigers as a football Club..

WESTS TIGERS

Neither club is called WestsTigers.
Why do people have a problem recognising we are merged from 2 great former clubs?
It’s like spitting on your parents.

?

Amalgamating the Leagues Clubs has zero to do with Wests Tigers funding..

looks like an Ashfield/ balmain amalgamation makes homebuilt a real home base moving forward once concord is set up. To make us an even stronger club we still have St Greg's to feed from too

Indirectly it does, given that members are on both Boards and the combined Leagues Club will help fund local juniors. That’s not counting the public outward unifying face that the public see and associate as the Wests Tigers.

Then where did the debts come from owed to the NRL that we cleared by Wests Ashfield that let Balmain still exist and be apart of the JV

It's been that for over a year though...

Wests Ashfield have funded BDJRL since 2018..

Yes, but this puts a very important public face on it as a unified group, not insignificant.

Then where did the debts come from owed to the NRL that we cleared by Wests Ashfield that let Balmain still exist and be apart of the JV

Ok..

Leagues Clubs and Football Clubs are 2 separate entities..

Balmain Leagues Club isn't the JV football partner in Wests Tigers never was..Balmain Rugby League Football Club were..that debt was already taken by Wests Ashfield in 2016..

What this does is strengthen Wests Ashield in terms of League Clubs and trading like say the Panthers group as an example..

Again as far as funding the Wests Tigers nothing has changed..

Let's hope there will be more funding from having additional source of income does anyone know what it will be known as
will it be known as Wests Tigers Club.

They were Balmain football club debts - when the JV was setup Wests and Balmain had to share the cost of any shortfall Wests Tigers had. The debt continued to grow and Wests offered a bailout that would have cost Balmain seats on the board. They refused the offer from Wests and went to the NRL for a loan. Wests Ashfield went guarantor for the loan. Thats where we are at now - Balmain couldn't repay the loan so Wests Ashfield cleared the debt and took control of WT.

So you could say if you don't have the backing of strong leagues club or a Benefactor with deep pockets its GAME OVER.
