"would not be drawn into the specifics of the matter.

It is understood that the 19-year-old is disputing the club’s reasoning for their intent to terminate his contract."

So, no specifics were given but Miller disputes "reasoning" for "intent to terminate"

So doesn't "intent to terminate" mean that he is still contracted?

I am of the view that unless we hear from Richo's mouth then this bluster is LH having a farewell hissy fit. I mean he blustered about the NQ 2 points and nothing happened and now this strange carry on.

There’s obviously a lot more going on behind the scenes than just “being late twice”. I think there’s a good chance they are not seeing the development and drive needed from Miller and are more prioritised with giving contracts to others. There had also been rumours that he’s got a very poor attitude and work ethic, I believe someone on the forum pointed out Jordan Miller had an argument with someone from NSW cup for the fact they pointed out his poor performance.

Judging by the fact that over a whole year his body hasn’t changed much in way of muscular hypertrophy (muscle gain) or even in fat loss is a bit concerning to say the least.
Where did you get the facts about his body measurements?

I thought similar, but as it is a legal quote maybe they are challenging ‘the intent to terminate’ as is what the reasons for their intent to warrant a termination.
Maybe.

I agree.

Common sense tells us the club would not terminate a contract for being late to training twice. He would get a sanction & player imposed punishment.

There will be more to this that’s for sure. Then he would receive support for whatever issues he is facing through Head Coach, Player Welfare Manager, HR etc, even player leadership group. CEO, Football GM & Coach would discuss with his manager, probably RLPA, NRL, and would have to be approved by the Board. This would have been months in the making.

Club would not have been able to announce it once Jordan engaged legal proceedings. This arbitration will be purely about unfair dismissal for $$$ & reputation. I can only think that they are arguing against the final strike situation which was the icing on the cake for termination.

Isnt Addo Carr going through the same deal ?

He has been given a notice of termination , but that includes an opportunity to front the board and present his side of the story ….

So technically you are still contracted pending that … but the writing is on the wall …

I would think Miller would have been given the same opportunity to put forward his case to the board but Hagi... saw an opportunity to put the boot in and offered his services with the sole purpose of escalating the situation and dragging the club through the media.

I don't normally post like this but no wonder our club has been so sh1t for so long with a germ like him at the top. I love to be a contrarian or play devils advocate on this forum, but there really is no getting around the fact that this fella is absolute pondscum.

Sounds like The Fedora is a tad salty and bitter. Don't suppose Miller was Nofa's plus-one at a certain wedding and scored a five-year deal as a lucky door prize courtesy of The Chairman. WT's should subpoena their former Chairman and ask what happens to players that miss training because they had a late night at a wedding.
