Wests Tigers wishes to advise a scheduling change for home matches in rounds 12 and 15 of the Telstra Premiership.
>
Due to delays in completing the upgrade of Leichhardt Oval, Wests Tigers has today decided to re-allocate the home matches against the Warriors and Canberra Raiders.
>
The revised details are:
>
ROUND 12
Wests Tigers v Warriors
Friday, May 28, 2010
NRL Kick Off 7.30pm.
>
This game will now be played at Campbelltown Sports Stadium instead of Leichhardt Oval.
>
ROUND 15
Wests Tigers v Canberra Raiders
Sunday, June 20, 2010
NRL Kick Off 3pm.
>
This game will now be played at Leichhardt Oval instead of Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
>
“We are disappointed at the need to make the change and we apologise for any inconvenience it may cause” said Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys.
>
“The good news, though, is that both of our traditional suburban home grounds at Campbelltown and Leichhardt will have improved facilities and comfort for members and corporate partners.
>
“Although we have had to swap the venues for these two games, Wests Tigers remain absolutely committed to hosting four games each at Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval this year.
>
“The decision to increase the number of games at these venues was the right one. I know our players wholeheartedly support it and I’m confident our members and fans will endorse it through strong attendances at the games.”

The progress at Leichhardt looked a little sluggish</sponsorship@weststigers.com.au></membership@weststigers.com.au>

Good thing is the Warriors seem to draw a decent crowd at Cambo and the first game at Leichhardt should be a big draw regardless.

Sad that it takes a Sunday from Cambo but hopefully, as we have seen in the past, we still draw well on a Friday

Spewing was hoping to see a game at the old girl before i head off to SA for the World Cup. Hopefully we can smash the cheating Storm at the Den when I get back. Agreed glad they moved it to C'town instead of the SFS

This is fine by me. Leichhardt has a way better atmosphere during the day rather than night.

excellent!

Campbelltown deserves night games whilst Leichhardt deserves sunday arvos!

Good move really. I think the Warriors will be good at Campbo and Sunday at Leichhardt is fantatsic.

Good to see we have been given a months notice as well.

i guess they didnt want to risk it that it may not be complete and the months notice is great for all concerned even if people had booked accomadation it might not be to hard to change it. Well done Wests Tigers

Yeah alot of Maori live in the area and heaps of them go to the game when we play the Warriors at Campbelltown. We will get a big crowd unless it looks like it's going to rain.
