Leichhardt and the Crowd

If we cant get 20000 next week at campbelltown going for 5 in a row on a sunday arvo it will be disappointing. In saying that the opportunity was there for the club to play 3 grades from 12pm like the old days but they decided to start at 10.30am. Poor.

I'm usually the first to defend the club but in this instance I can't help but wonder why they chose a 10:30am start. Would be an interesting question to ask.

Dont know why but we seem to get 16-20k at Leichhardt but struggle to get that at Campbelltown

Not true,
If you look over the last couple of years figures you'll see that CSS pulls the same if not marginally better crowds than LO. Unfortunately next week the crowd might not be that good as the Cowboys only have about 1000 supporters down here

could hear massive chants on tv when we were in an attacking position or got a line drop out.
good feelin'

Certainly didn't feel like 16,000\. I know there was a bit of space on the hill towards the far end (non-screen side), but I was surprised when the crowd number came up, felt like near 18.

When behind the goal posts around past the Keith Barnes 'stand' to the Robinson Latchem stand is packed, you know we got 18 then

2011 average crowd attendances Leichhardt 15462, C'town 15973

Very good crowd on Friday night and hopefully with some fine weather and a 3pm kick off this Sunday the club cashes in with a crowd in the vicinity of 20,000.

Put Friday in the perspective:

Wests Tigers: Cold Friday night against NZ attracted 16,000
Manly: Sunday afternoon, great weather, playing a Sydney team, could only attract 12,600

Lets hope there is a good crowd on sunday… Wests v BRET nsw cup game on first. Its also first nrl day game at campbelltown since 2010

Exactly.

Hope everything goes well and we pull another bumper crowd. Justify the clubs move of an extra home game at each of the grounds

a better start to our season may have helped out with croud numbers , we will get bigger crouds as we go , hold on to ya hats , i think we are on our way now

The Leichhardt crowd is always quiet and does not get behind the team when they are down. Its not until tbe team scores and they have generated their own momentum that the crowd gets behind them and pushes them along. Campbelltown will get over 17000 there next week if Wests advertise the game well.

Yes that is true!

C'town crowd seem to make more noise when we are behind.

I thought the night was quite mild, not very cold at all.
