This is a true tale told to me by an older man ,Was in W,W,1\. He was a horse soldier was short in the thigh lost his right eye and a thumb .He never sang the praises of the King or Queen . He told us that in the event of a mustard gas attack they had to put a mask on their horse first .NOT THEMSELVES A horse cost 40 pounds sterling he only cot a shilling food for thought
 
The great tragedy was the number of lives lost between the signing of the documents and the ceasing of hostilities. An unnecessary waste of even more lives.
