Liam Fulton Appreciation Thread

What a good thread.

Liam is the heart and soul of the Wests Tigers.
A player who plays above his weight, has a big heart and typifies the spirit of Wests, Balmain and the Wests Tigers.

Definitely will go down as one of this clubs favourite sons.

Digging up an old thread but i just found out he was 94kg according to the wests tigers match up.

Whole new level of respect for him! I coulda sworn he was 101 or 99kg which is alright.

Took a hit up on our own try line the other night and ran straight and hard for a good 10m. Didnt see ayshford and nofo played the ball, he is a legend. Just love this guy.

Terrible performance today. Killed us in the first half with repeated missed tackles. He is just too small for the modern game.

Shocking decision to sign him for three years.

Mate I actually want to see what his mates think about today's performance. Do people still seriously think he is close to representative quality.

I love the guy as a bloke - he busts his gut every week - but he is simply too light for NRL.

Overreaction aplenty. Fulton has been our best player this year and there is nobody running a close second unfortunately. On the back of a game where were were demolished across the pack and he was forced to play most of the game out of position you want to call him unfit for NRL standard? He scored our only try dead set mate you need to reassess your ability to critique this sport.

Mate he got smashed by the Titans on three occasions in the first half. He simply can't defend against big men. He started the demolition. Until his missed tackles we were in this game.

I don't recall him getting run over as much as others. He wasn't great today but he has been our best this season. Seems like you're the one with the bias.

He has been close to our best this season but that doesn't mean much. He has also missed an incredible amount of tackles in some games but not through lack of trying. That worries me and suggests that he simply doesn't have the weight to do it at this level.

I love Fults and would miss him. But if we are going to be a fair dinkum side we need to move on from players like him.

Just my opinion. He will be here for three years. He will bust his guts over those years and hopefully he has very few repeats of today's performance.

Fulton contributes greatly when the whole team is putting in. His lack of size becomes an issue when he has nobody to support him. He is a great squad player and if he played for a good side (and has played for some good WT sides) he would be revered. Despite this he has been our best this year in a shocking side so work that out.

this guy can do anything.. a true heart and soul of the club. he has grown an extra leg this year.

keep on playing like this :righton:

Exactly right… He gives it everything week in week out. VC next year, see if he can instill that work ethic in the young blokes comin thru. Yr an absolute champ Liam.

even though i started this thread, i think you're right- he got smashed twice by taylor and once by ryan james.

to his credit, he stopped them one on one and that's all you can ask from someone who is tackling someone who has 30 kg on him.

Liam Fulton and Superman once fought each other on a bet. The loser had to start wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants.
