Liam Fulton

Fulton took a bullet for this club because he was the only player we could release who was on reasonable money that anyone else actually wanted.
On top of that he is a class player that will add the variation we need in the pack.
When we had him, Halatau & Morris there should only ever have been 1 of the 3 in the 17 at any time & he is the best of the 3 by a mile.
With the rest of our pack now being big & tough his skill & terrier like abilities balance it perfectly.
Really glad to see him back both because it's the right thing to do after what he did for the club and because we need him as a player.

Canberra have scored themselves a bargain and we have added unnecessary $$$ to our salary cap..

I know its slightly off topic but my curisiosty has been asoused.

Will Danny Galea moving to Canberra be costing WT $$$ ?

I think some are being way to harsh on Liam here…......as with all things time will tell....

Maybe, as i said he did the club a service in leaving. I just don't know where his fits in our side dude… I hope I'm wrong and he kills it this season but i just can't see it happening.

Whoops…I didn't actualy mean you Kaiser.....

Fulton fits nicely in 13 for mine.......for no particlar reason........I got a feeling he and Benji will gel and combine to cause a bit of havoc in 2010......

While i probably wouldnt have brought Liam home if it was up to me, i can certainly see him playing a good role for us under certain circumstances. But those circumstances include not having Heighno in the pack with him, something i think Sheens wont do. A few have stated that both Liam and Heighno will excell behind a big pack…..........and i tend to agree, but i dont think we can have two backrowers that rely on having big men around them to succeed, i can see it working for one man but not two.

For me, i dont think we can have Liam in the starting pack if Heighno is, its one or the other. I was leaning towards giving Heighno first crack at 13, but the more i think about it, the more i can see Fulton doing a better job. His combo with Benji is very very very good. In fact, he runs better lines off Marshall than anyone else. Throw in his work rate and bit of skill, and i think he could be the perfect lock to compliment an otherwise big pack.

With Ellis able to play 80 minutes, maybe we can afford to interchange Liam and Heighno at 13 allowing both players to work their butts off for the time they are on the field, keeping their work at a higher quality rather than quantity.

Fulton is a good lock and has proved it before. However because of others in the pack he may be better used off the bench, although not that big he plays with plenty of heart. While we have spoke about the forward pack who is the likely half back:is it Robert Lui ???…......

How do you figure? He was off contract so the Tigers aren't paying him anything now.

WT wanted him to play for peanuts because he sat out such a long time with his injuries when he arrived at the club. I guess WT wanted a refund or something..

Couldn't agree more Softlaw; Fulton is a class player. He works well with Benji and will appreciate the extra muscle the forwards will have next year. The fact he did the club a favour speaks highly of him, but he gets his place on merit in my book.

At least they offered him some-thing i guess albeit not much! I just think the club made a descision to have Fulton over Galea which made him surplus to there requirments, as they have Flanagan and others as well Not saying they made the right descion but thats the direction they have decided to go in because football is a business these days and you cant keep every-one. Im sure if Liam didnt come back Galea would be here next year and would of been offered alot more. Time will tell if Wets made the right deision but i think Fulton adds a bit more to the team.
