Is there any other job besides a rugby league coach or administrator where you can absolutely cruise without accountability for the first year of your job? Crazy.

Right, a 5 year plan ! How many of those have we had ? Probably enough to make a 50 year plan !
 
You'd think the NRL would step in and say you have x amount of time to improve by x margin.... What other organisation would put up with the basket case that is us.
Of course we must be making them coin... That's all I can put it down to
And I'm at a loss as to those members forking out thou$and$ year after year when they see performance like this tonite... I dunno I couldn't do it when I see some of our players not giving a damn
 
Some people on here talk like Richardson is some kind of god… yea cool he got Luai, I think anyone could have done that when you are offering him to be the highest paid player in the comp. What happened to that big English trip to recruit the best poms ? Meanwhile south’s & Raiders have recently recruited some of the best talent the super league have. Or was that trip to get players off the books? That worked well with Sullivan saying a week later he wasn’t gonna be going anywhere 👍 Turuva is a good signing but his defence is so bad Penrith dropped him to Reggie’s

But if Richo can’t turn around this debacle..I don’t know who can …

Still trying to work out the point of that trip to England …
 
There are no shocks from where I stand just continual disappointment. Every week I match man to man on paper and am yet to see a week where I believe we have a stronger squad than our opposition. It's about this time of year where the contenders ramp up and all the aches and pains of the lower squads feel that much worse. I expect to lose most games, and give us a chance in some if we get the 50/50 calls and some luck. We lost it as soon as Api was binned - and then it became just a matter of by how much
The roster is just not strong enough and add a rookie coach - it's not a Disney movie.
Last night was tough and I feel for the coaching staff that are trying to turn it around - like the others before them but it always comes back to the quality of the squad compared to the one you are opposing and ours in my mind falls short in just about every key area.
 
We are at the stage of the season where the score card can be shown. Sadly, it is a -C . For the club, the coach and the players. The occasional win is as good as it is going to get. I wonder if it has now become our benchmark, and the best we can hope for. Actually, I don't wonder...I am simply just in denial! ;-)

He would have learnt that ESL was not part of the answer,so he gathered useful knowledge for the future.This is an assumption but probably close to the mark.Maybe if we are lucky he found a future home for Klemmer and Bateman but is keeping it quiet

I'm sweating he can off load them, both are just using the joint to top up their super. What are we into for them 1.6 million a year or there abouts.
