Like a broken record..

There is nothing wrong with ex players being associated in roles with their ex club - all clubs have them. Benji was thrust into a position he should never have taken on, and blindly or stupidly thought he could handle it /make a difference. I admire him for that - it is no doubt the toughest gig in the league. He may very well still be successful at some point but the patience of supporters even when we recognize all the flaws has run out.
At some point though they have to stick to a plan or no manager is going to buy what they are selling and neither will the players - plenty don't already.
Richardsons experience is key - and not sure if he can afford to pull the trigger and at the same time how bad does it have to get before he has no option.
I actually feel that's not the case anymore. The whole Balmain vs Wests thing seems to have settled down, our salary cap is in a good condition, we have a good supporter base, a centre of excellence. The HG group has cash to spend on football operations as well.

We have a solid captain, some very good young guns. The thing we lack the most is a couple of experienced first graders with the ability to mentor the young guys.

The best part? The expectation is literally "do not win the spoon again".

With Luai coming in next year and Fainu, Galvin, Turuva and Pole a year older- it's actually not that hard a gig IMO.

Benji isn't enough qualified to take on a NSW Cup role let alone NRL. I genuinely feel a decent coach might get us a Top 10-12 spot at least.
