I reckon next year I’ll just back all the outsiders in trials. They’re crapshoots anyway.

So am I correct in saying Andrews is our best attacking spine player?

Our first stringers don’t attack like he does.
He’ll get a chance at some stage during the year…look forward to seeing it.

He’s taking the right options which is promising.

How will he go against the top flight guys putting much more pressure on him?

Same. Most of mine had T.May scoring a try. I thought he was about to get there at one stage

Wraps to Bunty Afoa too. Our line speed in defence was almost nrl standard for the first time in a long while with him on.
And ran hard with the ball.
Could be a really important signing.

The improvement in fitness and power was evident in all players. We’ve been lacking that for 15 years.

AD has been good as well though.
Madden will get his chance soon enough.

Doueihi needs to take some lessons from Madden.
1) kick flatter and to vacant grass. Play the game in their half (said this last week]
2) stand the backline deeper when in attacking zone [said this last week also]
Did anyone notice when we stood deep [2nd half] Penrith run forward, but WT were too far away, SO THEY STOPPED, like rabbits in your headlights. So, with silky hands and feet from Andrews, we scored. Amazing! Rocket science at Leichhardt.

Bula to me seemed way of the pace
Are attack hasn’t changed much from last year
The defence and getting of the line looks a lot better

Anyway, …we copped two nemesis clubs for our trials and dusted them both up scoring 29 of a possible 30 comp points and most importantly, everyone is healthy coming out of them.
I’m generally too experienced to go the early crow..however I did tip us to make the 8 and this has been a great warmup.
Bring on the season - in 3 and a bit weeks 😖

How many more players do they need to sign ? Hopefully not many, because I think the war chest is a little bare ..

I can’t help thinking we’d be more cohesive in attack in the red zone with Madden. AD a bigger threat himself but he also stunts the attack a little. Good to have options.
