Well no Tim just a rehashed presser, very disappointing from a fan perspective.
Maybe Tim has agreed to a one on one with his mate Buzz.
To me would have meant a lot if he had fronted.
Noddy totally dismembered.
I have to ask the question....why would it have meant anything? People have been calling for weeks for Sheens to front up, show his face, takeover etc. His contract to coach is for next year. Do you see Gus doing press conferences instead of Potter? They share the same role this year.

I understand, Sheens pulled the trigger on Madge, but for him to take more of a role this year publicly would have basically ruined next year before it begins. If Sheens was in charge of everything that has happened on the field up to this point it would be a disaster as far as next year goes. People ( including players) are so stupid these days you need to build a house of cards that is attractive, no matter the substance inside. For Sheens to be publicly associated with failure now, would almost guarantee nobody looks twice at us for next year. As it stands now, we have a "clean slate" and a "new beginning" in 2023 no matter how much bullshit that may be.

My point was not to rehash this season but to start the ball rolling for next.
Had it been me, I would have said a few words about moving forward.
Just my thoughts.,

Good crowd for wooden spoon position against an out of town team. Our supporters are built of much tougher stuff than our squad.

This is the annoying thing. Some of the crowd today were probably getting their LO fix while they can but even so, the club has a massive fan base. If we could ever get a remotely competitive team our attendance numbers would be massive.

I. Like furious' point.... Today was definitely not the say to start talking about next year and off-season etc... Tomorrow.. Next week... Today is best buried

Mate I live 2500km away and up until 2020 I was a paying member.
I don’t go to games unless we make finals or play in Townsville.
These arseholes did not deserve a crowd today. If the club suffers financially, it may get the bloody message. Just having a team is not good enough. 20 failed seasons out of 23 attempts is rotten. 11 years in a row of failure is rotten. This club sucks and our teams each year are an embarrassment.
Was there a crowd today tho? There was 10000 and half of those were raiders supporters… the team didn’t even deserve that so your right.

When to a local pub after the game. Three families there with about eight kids between them all with jerseys on mums/ dads, kids rusted on. The club needs to do better.

Penrith could win with me playing halfback but wow, he’s had countless opportunities this season and largely fluffed them.
I think we saw his best & he's not first grade standard.

He pulled off a few classy moves that may have been flukes, the ugly 40/20 & the chip and chase try.

Penrith cup team is quite handy so I'm sure he'll enjoy some success with them (more so than the magpies) maybe even taking a KOE cup trophy 🏆 with a taste of first grade here and there when needed....

Garner also, he isn't the right player for us and it seems we didn't try to keep him but he's onto better things (like Matt Eisenhuth) so good on him... but yeah, not the type of player we need to find success.
