Why have you accused users of abuse or collusion or worse? Those are allegations the moderators must suspend your account for and introduce and immediate investigation. I shall be instigating an information request of the forum as they are as responsible as you and in this day and age, not hard to find or prosecute.

I’m sorry 5150, I agree with a lot of what you post but I can’t go with the Brooks thing. He’s just terrible. He could most likely make a decent fullback or number 14 but he’s no halfback.

Thats fine, we can have that discussion and I could have that discussion with you ahead of some others, but go back and read the contest of that thread....it was directly relating to posters on this thread and it wasnt my comparison.

Moses Mbye in 80 minutes he made 4 runs and had 2 missed tackles and 6 ineffective. For 900k a year that is horriffic. I doubt anyone else wants him but I say pay the 700k we have left in this yrs cap into next yrs contract and offer him for to anyone who will take him for 100k.

I don’t know how you blame brooks for that ? We bombed 3 tries , had Cini drop every kick / let in every trycome his way (he’s a kid in his second game so he gets a pass , but it doesnt take away from the effect) .

Nothing , he was invisible , but he didn’t lose us the game is my point . Our right , again is god damn hopeless defensively .

There’s a lot of duds in this team but Brooks is the half and therefore the player with most responsibility. His job isn’t to make 20 tackles, it’s to guide the team, build pressure by getting repeat sets and put on a few plays. He doesn’t do any of that. He’s crap. Stop defending him.


Did we score 28 points? with at least two tries disallowed including brooks passes? I wish people would look at the passes that Brooks gives Doueihi to put in him in space. I swear that for some here, if Brooks isnt making line breaks he is crap.

In this simple game of rugby league, one thing that is indisputable is that you can’t score without the ball. The more often you have the football, the more chances you have to score. Having the football more often than the other team also means you have to defend less. It’s mathematical. And simple. Every time we have the football in our possession, we’re not missing tackles or conceding line breaks or leaking points. Every time the opposition has the football the opposite applies. It’s the halfbacks job to maximise the opportunities we have once we have possession AND to maximise the time we are in possession. That is usually the result of wise 5th tackle options and a good kicking game. Brooks, unfortunately, is totally devoid in those two most critical parts of the game. Yes, the rest of the team has a few mistakes in their games that lead to turnovers but Brooks’ failures are a constant.

Cini hasn't played in a team this bad since under 7's. We've got to him.

Umm Cini is a huge part of why we’ve been so bad. I would honestly say it’s the worst individual display I’ve ever seen. On par with the infamous Manu Vatuvei game against the Eels many years ago.

I guess you have played rugby yourself, if so I'm sure you maybe had a few shockers yourself, it happens mate. Give him a break it's only his 2nd NRL game. Hopefully he gets a chance to redeem himself

I dont think there is anything particularly wrong with your analysis, but Zac Cini's errors far outweigh Brooks supposed shortfalls with regards to giving them the ball ( I can only remember one occasion and it was on the last tackle).

I would add to your analysis that winning games is predominately based on stopping your opposition from scoring. Titans scored 36 points. They scored 18 points in 3 sets in 5 minutes. Brooks missed 1 tackle out of 20 (95% effectiveness).

Based on YOUR analysis. Luke Brooks didnt lose us this game. We win this game and no one is talking about LB.

I want to see the effort we put into the first set after half time, again and again and again. It ended with a forward pass but it was good hard football. I’ve seen it maybe twice all year. These guys are collecting too much money to clock on twice in 2 months.
