Completely true. I wasn’t on this thread for the second half and the main thing I noticed was how much sharper the Tigers looked with Mbye at 9. His service was a lot better than Liddle, leaving our halves with plenty of time and space.

As soon as we see the end of Mbye the better, as usual he was the worst player on the field.

I thought they both played well, Liddle topped the tackle count while playing the tougher 1st half? Maybe we need to carry a utility DH in future?

Mbye went to hooker at 18-10 and we won the second half 32-6. I am not a Mbye fan but watch back on the video and look at the extra space Mbye gave us compared to Liddle. There is a link between Mbye and us scoring more points in 2nd half.

The Mbye haters on here won't agree mate!

Are there really people that hate Mbye. I keep trying to like him but he doesn't do much. Sure as a back-up utility player he is great. He is our marquee player and the best he does is his job.

Just a terrible signing> I'd put his signing at the same level as Blair. Reynolds was considerably worse but that isn't a compliment.

Overall I thought our second half performance was solid and we got better as the game went on, showing that confidence is key.
Our D was poor for the most part, and why the hell we have NO line speed and why we back off the way we do on our edges, is bewildering to say the least!! D is an effort, attitude and confidence thing - and by far our biggest issue.

As for our Attack - I really believe we can improve this simply by backing up the ball carrier, maybe a few more offloads and players in motion. We are not too far off in A although against a team that has linespeed and stops our go forward we may still struggle.

As for today - thought Tamou had one of his better games for us, with Uto and Mikaele both looking more likely to get across the ad line and get us onto the front foot. Luc was solid today in A, but still slow in D and Garner was the opposite. Tuki had some good and bad in him. Liddle was OK, tackled well but we need more from our d/h if we are to compete with top 8 teams.
Laurie was much more involved in the game today and subsequently played well. AD ran a lot straighter which gave better room and options to ball play. Ken had a far stronger second half and I hope we see more of that from him. Pauga looks like he could have some upside, just needs to focus on his D. More effort from Noffa today and TT was also better than his past games. Brooks was solid, distributed well, kicked well for the most part (although I would like to see some more variation in his kicking game) and Defended very well as usual - good to see him doing the talking in the huddles.

Will need to step up again to have any chance next week against a better Manly side.

Great summary. Agree with it all. What made Tamou better today was that he found an offload

He just did the basic pass of the ground, he didn’t mess it up but he did absolutely nothing else.

It's too simplistic to think it's just the player swap.

Players are getting fatigued, inter-changes are implemented, possession changes etc. It's like how Garner often carves up when he comes off the bench - it's not that he's so much better than who he swaps with, it's the game, ahem, ebbs and flows.

I thought both Mbye and Liddle were OK today - neither were special nor poor. We won, I'm happy.

Honestly don’t think it was intentional, bodies were just in the wrong place. Anyway I didn’t say he was perfect just miles fairer than I’ve ever seen him ref one of our games - neither team was overly punished with 6 agains, he actually pinged every Broncos forward pass and the no try obstruction would’ve usually been a try against us also. He reffed this game far better than he did Origin that’s for sure.
