It was meant to reduce stoppages and ref influence and basically it’s been over used , and completely rigging outcomes . I don’t think it’s corruption , but just people who’s livelihood is affected ( the refs) so now they are going to do it to the best of thier ability. Only they have a completely different idea of what thier best looks like.

I'm not a fan of the 6 again atm. I agree, its not being used for betterment of the game. This rule is completely rubbing teams out of a game and is in no way consistent. Its hard not to believe that there are favoured teams out there that get away with more than others.

I disagree. The effort was there, we just didn't have the class or fitness to overcome the avalanche of possession handed to the opposition.

Walters in defence reminded me of Kyle Lovett vs Panthers at Leichhardt where the poor bloke let in about 4 tries in 20 minutes playing in the centres. We don't leak those points today it's an entirely different game.

Sadly it rests on Walters who looks to have lost all lateral agility and fitness, and to a lesser extent Madge who selected him.

I just thought todays game was over-officiated. Some discipline issues for sure, but we weren't as bad as the ref made out.

I couldn't work out what most of the 6 agains were for and I thought Parra were treated lightly for their infringements.

at 14-6 down, we had barely touched the ball and were doing well to stem their attack after being penalised out of the first half.

A few observations:
*Walters isn’t a first grader
*Eels got the rub of the green in the first half
*Nathan Brown killed us with with his hit ups off quick play the balls
*I’m taking a liking to Seyfarth - he really digs in and gives his all
*LOL at Moses telling Gutho to FO - what kind of teammate says that to his Captain (as annoying as “King” Gutho is)?

Is it just me or do we defend with massive spaces when playing at Bankwest??
It seems like the ground is bigger than we make it by defending too far apart hence massive gaps appear.

Personally, i hate that we have Bankwest as 1 of our many home grounds just to make money, as we never play well there.

I have no idea when we would not defend tighter and use the sideline as our extra defender inside of up and in defense when we have the worst defensive wingers in the comp.

I have always agree that our backrow is weak and that is the area that needs improving but personally a massive attitude in defense and a proper defensive game-plan would go a long way to solving some of the problems.

You have to ask if there was no 6 again rule, how many of today's set restarts would be called as penalties? There's no way the ref gives Parra 17 penalties in that game. But he pretty much did - 8 penalties and 9 set restarts.

I reckon if he had to blow the whistle for all of them it would be less than half that number. It's almost like now they've got a way to officiate without any scrutiny, and even if it's unintentional, it has a huge impact on the game.

What I don't understand is what they were trying to fix by bringing this in. The game was fine last year. Who was complaining?

Yeah, the Walters selection was a strange one, but he has been giving the reserves there chance? He may be back again next week, depending on injuries?
Maybe if he went well, it would have made a quicker & easier swap deal with him and another Bronc's player?

I was a supporter of the 5 min bin, but how these new rules are being enforced, I’m starting to think we need less rules. It’s all becoming too complicated for our referees to understand and be consistent. We should just call it Rugby Union and be done with it at this rate.

Six again promotes acting from the tackled player. I hate hearing milking and it goes unpunished, but anything from the tackler gets a six again.
