But @geo ...you told me the side would be prepared ....we didn't need trial games to get underprepared players ready
They looked liked they were elbow bumping in the in goal area ....hadn't meet before ....
Maguire conceded the right edge of Benji Marshall and new recruits Joey and Luciano Leilua needed work and wasn’t about to make excuses just because it was only their second game together.
“The boys have just got to find their shoulders,” Maguire said.
"That comes back to attitude and understanding what your role is. You can talk about our right edge or middles, teams will pick apart individuals if you’re not doing those sorts of things.
"We didn’t want to turn up and put our shoulders into tackles and teams feel that and they’ll find you.
"They turned up last week with a different attitude.
“It’s about turning up week in and week out, that’s what makes our competition.”
So even Madge concedes that you and he were wrong
No he concedes that being professional experienced rugby league players they sucked their attitude sucked and playing only two games together had absolutely nothing to do with that..but I guess that is beyond your comprehension..
Maybe he needs to concede that the writing was on the wall last weekend as well ...the EXACT same things happened last week ...our defensive left got owned both weeks
What is Madge going to claim ...it was written in Invisible Ink
Don't worry ...I'll tell him myself when he comes up to Calliope / Gladstone next week
The week before with a different attitude that was overcome and they won so the exact same thing didn't happen...this week with 20 to go only 2 points behind playing like garbage they folded..attitude...you might get that one day..wouldn't hold my breath ..
I get attitude .....just because attitude brushes you aside like a flimsy WT's tackle attempt
Might want to start with your Fantasy Team 1st..
There were no changes Maguire could have made between the weeks regarding your original point of trials..there were something like 700 games NRL experience on that edge regardless of whether they had played 1 2 or 600 games together..
Well maybe don't put a slow 36 year old and a bloke who is continually getting stuck at 2nd marker who isn't real quick laterally together
The next issue with all of that is the fullback ..if he is good defensively **he should be seeing the target of the oppositions attack and calling players over**
Thommo may have the heart of Phar Lap ...but we concede a lot of points when he is fullback ..and some of it is because of his own positional problems but also not being able to read a game
I said last week teams will have spotted that
Exactly why I would have Mbye at the back.
