Honestly cant believe all the ref hate (might be normal but im not normally in the live game chat).
He has made two bad calls (+ a 3rd one against Penrith also reviewed) in my opinion (one of which he would have been uncited and have to rely on the touchie which we got back on review) the other the alleged crusher tackle.
The first Nofo high tackle was from the bunker not the ref.
How about more chat about finally showing up in Defence not just good reads but actually whacking as well and looking fast and dangerous whenever we got the ball.

How about more chat on "why isn't the Ref picking up on the Riff indiscretions"

I don't care about the calibre of the panthers side. Tonight we were up against a ref that seemed determined to see a panthers win. I'm so proud of my team Tonight. They defended like mongrels. Ref unloading on us on our line,on their first tackle coming off their line. It was relentless. Not just six again but full blown penalties. We did alot to make it hard also but that is just us. No need for a helping hand for the enemy. Blocker Roach said you could use to get away with a lot more at home. Good strong win. Don't let the ney sayers take it away. ENJOY!!!!!!!!! More to come.

Very impressed with our defence. With most settled in their positions they are starting to really gel and will get better. Problem now is major changes again from suspensions/injury (mbye?)
This penrith side is still strong but lacked the cohesion/combos. The boys & madge deserve a massive credit for the win.

I think the most pleasing thing was the desperation in defence. Plenty of times I saw things that would've normally busted us open but someone was pushing across and making the tackle

Notably the Brooks try saver on Edwards was special as was the Nofa try saver on Staines. Laurie stopping Staines and Jennings was excellent too - these are things we weren't seeing a month ago

Our defence has stopped blindly rushing up and instead are sliding across and communicating with each other and it's clearly made a difference. Penrith's attack was clunky but they had way less overlaps against us then most teams have had all year and we frustrated them in defence.

I'll have to rewatch it but I noticed a lot of effort areas in defence last night, big thumbs up from me 👍🏻

Gus likes us, even against his old Panthers he was talking us up all game.

It would be good to have Gus come on board with his knowledge of football and running a team
Get him involved with some junior development as well
I wonder if we ever approached or asked him if he would be interested in some capacity at our club
He drives us all nuts with his commentary at times but we all have to admit he knows his football
He would be a perfect addition to our club along with our new COE
And it would keep the momentum going
For Gus it would provide an opportunity to pay back Ivan and Penrith for the way he was ceremoniously dumped from that Club
And we all know he was forced out
