Remember when people said we shouldn’t go after Brandon Smith because Liddle was better.

If brooks is perpetually in front of his hooker you can hardly blame liddle for throwing it forward to him.

That was once and I don’t believe it was Liddles fault, that’s on Brooks . It was his general service through the game that was so poor.

Our forwards were garbage in attack. Not one of them ran onto the ball. The only one that tried hard was Luciano. Garner cost us a try and was laughing with Wighton when he gave that stupid penalty. Packer is a waste of space. Liddell is too slow in passing the ball. Really it was amateur hour. At what point will it change. I keep hoping but new year same crap

This type of reaction by Garner is what has been the issue with the team for years ...Garner needs the punt straight away to send the message that things have changed and this will no further be tolerated!

Were so light in the 2nd row though who replaces him? Tuilagi? Seyfarth?

We still have Tuilagi (imho much better player then Garner), and we have Blare and Amone out due to injuries.

The problem was that Brooks got stuck in line with the decoy and then tried to run past him to get the ball. No excuses for Brooks anymore. He is just not good enough.

Not as bad as all you are making out. They weren't switched on to start the 2nd half and they paid dearly for it. Pushed too many passes and Canberra were able to capitalise on sloppy play.
Raiders really benefited from home side advantage too.
Sure its disappointing but you can't accuse them of not having a go. Except maybe Garner.

I thought our middle forwards competed well for most of the game. Defensive issues mostly came on the edges and discipline let us down a lot.

Discipline was terrible, silly mistakes. Kicking game was very poor as well. With Mbye at 5/8 right side attack was non existent unless JTJ went looking for the ball. Mbye kicking on the 2nd inside the Raiders half, I’d say he’s been watching too many Benji videos.

Mbye did nothing wrong and in fact, the only dangerous attacking kicks were his or Laurie's. Brooks should never play first grade again. Twal would be better at half. Liddle is copping it in here for no reason other than Brooks could not capitalise on any go forward we had. He is the worst half in the NRL. Show me a worse one.

Mbye did heaps wrong, killed the attack. Poor ball to JTJ. Kicked on the 2nd and kicked when none of the outside backs were aware. You’ll notice the difference with AD at 5/8 next week.

Two kicks in a row that got a repeat set, how many from Brooks? The only time the outside men looked dangerous was when Mbye was involved. Brooks did everything possible to stifle attack. I'd have Mbye at half when Douehie is back next week.

Both centres were terrible, i would rather a guy with some IQ and ability over these two'.

We know that Joey isn't overly smart but JMJ was just as bad, so often running a semi-circle behind his own players before being easily picked up by the opposition. No pun intended but at the moment JMJ is well off the pace.

I think what worried me,Canberra did not play that great. For the most part our defence was okay. Our attack was out right terrible. 95% of plays went out to LL and Bj, yet Jimmy the Jet and Nofo got the dregs.
Liddle made one run that I can remember.

What about trying Brooks and Laurie as halves? Doehi to the centre replacing JMJ who replaces Kepoa on the wing? Need a competent fullback very quickly. All he needs to do is catch the ball and run it back.

I suggested in a different post for him to slot in at 5/8 if mbye went to Hooker today and move talau back to wing and kepoa to fullback. After today I dont think kepoa could've handled it tbh

I really didn't think we were that bad. beat ourselves for the first 15 after half time and created a few opportunities. don't think I've seen a defensive line move as quickly as Canberra did off their line today and that spooked us, but we were still able to find a few gaps here and there. we'll be ok.
