Anyone reckon the warriors players have any questions to be answered @ the judiciary? the Hiku crusher tackle was ugly. Didn’t even get put on report. Of course if it was a tigers player they’d be facing a murder charge

I think that’s sorta fair enough, Packer only really got done because he has carry overs.

But Hikus was much worse so idk...probably deserved a couple regardless

Nah thanks. Don't get me wrong I play Xbox and I've watched plenty of game player clips online, but I doubt I could sit through an entire tournament without being bored. 30 mins is probably my max tolerance. I need to be able to skip ahead.

It's all becoming very meta, watching people play a simulation as sport. Of course they have elite skills just as any live-action sportsperson, but fundamentally their sport only exists inside a box and they spend their entire time not moving off their butts. Its like my kids watching other kids play with toys, vicariously, on Youtube Kids. Bizarre.

i think once you actually play the games, you appreciate the skill; team work; tactics etc. Reaction times; communication; selflessness, leadership all inherent in any other sport imo.

Dota's a great game too but prefer league of legends though (LoL)

Caught some CS games on Twitch back in March when esports was the only "sport" that you could find in the lockdown and remembered why I used to watch the big tournaments (before watching other gamers was even a thing).

It agree that the whole thing sounds ridiculous but as a guy who was a big FPS gamer back in the day I can appreciate the qualities these top Counterstrike players have. Watching the top teams play in these tournaments really is a blast. As long as it's the best of the best mind you.

Although, as cool as it sounds playing games for a living I imagine the life to be anything but cool. Being forced to sit on their butts as you say hour after hour, day after day to try and stay at the top would quickly become a nightmare and suck out all the enjoyment that got you there in the first place (at least for me). But thats like a lot of things I suppose.
