The more nrl I watch the I come to expect that we're going to get rorted in some way. I was half expecting that was going to happen.
I can only remember two other golden point games being decided by penalty and one was us against Canberra.
I think we are the designated whipping boys.

Us and other teams. The chosen ones get the benefit. Can't have a national competition unless Melbourne & Brisbane make the 8 every year

Pretty sure we actually won a GP match with a penalty once also. Don't ask me when it was, but I'm sure one of the stats guys on here could tell us.

Ivan presser on Fox

Ivan: Feel for the fans, players etc. Didn't think it was a penalty. Broncos were embarrassed to win that way. Questioned double standards in GP - I thought they didn't blow penalties in golden point. Didn't play well enough.

I have a vague recollection of Benji kicking a penalty at Campbelltown but I could definitely be wrong.

How about making penalties in extra time to be differential, so instead of resulting in a direct kick at goal, it can turn to a scrum instead. Or introducing golden try, how about extra time 10 min halves, whoever has the most points at the end wins. OR HOW ABOUT GIVING EACH TEAM THE DAMN POINT AND MOVING ON far out NRL get your crap together you muppets

Canberra again from memory it was after Canberra won a game in golden point for us being off side 2008-2009 ??

Not true
They did not score a try
Best defence in the league
Very proud of the boys
The ref should go back to Isp

our non existent attack is a massive problem… To suggest it's not is ignorant

only saw one try in the game…. not sure which game you were watching.

You don't win many games scoring one try… But hey we scored more than them so everything must be ok huh?
Pull you head out

This isnt about how many tries you score. It's about being judged fairly on the field. That penalty was insanity. The decision to blow a penalty in that spot at that time was all too predictable. We are the whippng boys. But we'll change it. This group can change the perception of our club. We are no longer also-rans. Klein should be sacked.

Bronc's didn't score a TRY..am I right..?

They did but it was ruled a No Try

You're kidding, i hope.

No not kidding …side on replay was good enough IMO
If it was one of our boys we'd have blown up if was given no try !

Yep. We were lucky to have pushed it to golden penalty. (although 2 games in a row the goalpost has helped the Broncos ffs)

We need to score more points. Plain and simple.

Most of us are confused why you dont.

I can only speak for myself, but I would still no think it was no try if it was us.

Finger makes contact with ball which is on the ground. How is that not a try? Lol

Feel for the boys, some big performances pto there. Hopefully they take it as proof they can compete all game with any side and don't lose heart.

I knew the winger stepped in touch, Ch 9 never showed it. But I also commend what was really some amazing fight and frankly big balls to kick short them slot an equaliser. Normally Tigers would just bow out.

Such a shame to see that penalty. I had half a second before I heard the call, thinking what we'd do with 7 tackles. Interwebs going ballist5i right now, only Broncos trolls saying it was a good call.

I take the point about attack, but I'd rather at this stage defend like men possessed than score a bunch of tries. Yeah attack isn't great but we've had 3 quality sides only put 2 tries on us, and 1 of those with 12 men.

Attack can come along, but if you dont get defence right you get left behind. We murdered Rabbits Rd 1 last year and then the wheels fell off.

But also, if Marsters kicks his second, or two kicks bounce up for Thompsom rather than away from him, we win that by 2-6\. Not as if we didnt create any chances.

Saw a funny comment on reddit: "key to beating Tigpies is not to score any tries!"

Yeah maybe. Or the Titans. I remember losing to Canberra for a strip or something. And seeing photos of Canberra players being 5m offside in the same or previous game.

No downward pressure.

Watched the game with a dogs fan. No try to a neutral, even though I was worried we'd be duded.

Mate that is a try every week.

How can you even prove "downward pressure". It's a bs rule… all you need to see is contact on the ball.

I take we lost and Luke Brooks was crap..?

Brooks was our best. He wasn't what I call polished, but the intent in which he played with was great. IMO he runs like he expects to be tackled, tonight he ran like he expected to break through and that intent went right through his game. Defended great and was the dominant half tonight with Benji very quiet.

Plus his kick chase and one percent plays were even better.
