I think plan for the future. This year is done. So get Liddle playing big minutes if not 80, pick Talau, may as well. Who was that winger we have in reserves Bradley? Give us something to cheer about, some glimmer of hope. Some sign that something might change one day.

I'd be inclined to go with Jennings for the Manly game and if/when we're officially or very close to being eliminated, blood Talau.

@happy_tiger we cooked it through Benji and Mbye saying he was fit n ready when he clearly wasn’t ... the facts of what happened is also that we should’ve taken the 2 just after half time- brooks played pretty well, if one of Momi (3rd string kicker)’s penalty goal/poster/final attempt go over then we go to extra time and probably still don’t even win it lol 😂😂

Liddle wasn’t in the squad at the point we got to here and now probably Talau debut next week , what’s not to look forward to haha

Good question. High pressure game against DCE on our left edge. Physically he matches up better against Suli but I don’t know if it’s the game for a rookie.

Looking at the stats we have lost 4/5 games where we have scored the same tries as the opponents. Something has to give with a goal kicker. When you are a battling team it’s a non negotiable. This is the problem look no further.

If this team gets a goal kicker and 2-3 solid first graders we will be serious.

I have all faith in Madge he’s changing the joint. He has to bring through Talau and young kids now we have to part ways with a lot of players.

Not really but this roster is not his choosing. He’s already put underperforming players in Canterbury Cup and told many to leave. More action than any coach we have had in years.
He’s a premiership winning coach he has the runs on the board. Craig Bellamy who’s hands down the best would struggle with our roster.

You think any better coach would sign with us. I strongly doubt it. Cleary ran and we had a rabble in JT and Potter prior.

The coach or his staff made calls to not pick a back up hooker and play an injured player


Fair point about Mbye but we had run with 4 forwards to good effect. Mbye and Farah getting injured is unfortunate. Cost us the game.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it’s more bad luck.Liddle plays we win that game. A club without a goal kicker is more baffling.

My point is an idiot like myself mentioned it mid week about the issues in a game like this losing Farah in a game where we carry Liddle we win

Why didn't our coaching staff see it

Can we talk about the decline of Alex Twal? Started the year on fire, now he's barely noticeable. Was talked of as an origin smokie, last night couldn't even get a start when the other prop choices were Clark and Mikaele. If things continue he'll be in reserve grade come round 25.

Read through the rest of the thread, which is always up and down. Was pretty damn ticked off when I saw the scoreline, but when I read that Moses lasted 8 minutes and Robbie went off part way into the 1st half that was always going to make it harder for a side that's not littered with talent.

Losing Aloiai a couple of days before didn't help either.............someone sticking pins in Wests Tigers dolls this week

Yeah the goal kicking is a different story, that really falls on management for failing to recruit in that department.

I fear that he does not suit Maguires style. He prefers front rowers that are explosive for 30 minutes and needing to carry 3 of them on the bench to share the workload, rather than one that plays 60 minutes, makes 100m+ and 40 tackles up upwards of 95% effectiveness.

What could possibly go wrong?

We really haven’t been much better than they have. Lucky we’re not playing a better side otherwise we’d be in trouble.


Considering we have a rookie prop rotation, center down and Hooker down plus a player in the bin.... you’re being very harsh.... most teams wouldn’t even be close on the scoreboard.

How about you give some credit for once instead of wind bagging all the time

@GNR4LIFE That comment was made at half time, at which point we were doing well. Then came our second half capitulation where it all went to hell.

Maybe your pessimism (even when we were in front for more than a try) is a way to deal with the often impending rubbish the Tigers dish out, I get that, but why go back and try to pull down other people?

I look at WhoDaBoss, even when we are getting smashed, and I've lost all hope, and that person is still being optimistic, and I envy that. We shouldn't drag people down but try to lift them (and ourselves) up.
