If a Saudi benefactor came in and said I want to start an alternate rugby league competition would we honestly have a super league reaction ?
Does any one actually have a loyalty to the nrl ? Like most of us had to the ARL ? That’s not rhetorical either . Does anyone ?
I personally don’t . This iteration of the governing body for our game has a stench on it the ARL never did . Whilst there definitely was nepotism in regards to roster spots for rep teams and some off field stuff , especially for Canterbury and of course manly , I can’t ever recall the same type of blatant , wwe type finishes to games we have witnessed the last 5 years .
I’m off the nrl , and I think most fans would agree with me . They need to go .
Where’s the next Rupert Murdoch ?
 
I can see it already. We will get a half arsed apology advising that they got it wrong, the rule will be looked at to prevent it from happening again and meanwhile we lost 2 points and got shafted. NRL is a shit, corrupt sport ran by mugs.

And if to add to above, we will probably cop that rubbish up the tailpipe because we considered a non premiership winning threat/not important to the NRL corrupt narrative and as such, remain bottom feeders.

The Tigers are also questioning why the Cowboys were allowed to challenge a decision when there wasn’t a stoppage in play - and if there was a stoppage it was for the full-time whistle.

The NRL has privately conceded the bunker decision to penalise Kepaoa may have been the wrong call.

Deflated Wests Tigers stand-in coach Ben Gardiner said “the game was over” before the bunker intervened to gift North Queensland a great escape in a finish that left rival coach Todd Payten to admit “we got one tonight”.

I'm glad they are firing up. Unlike many, I don't think Gardiner should end up an angry coach meme like Toovey, we have plenty of higher profile, higher ranking officials. Wouldn't surprised me if they contacted the media with this leak before they'd actually spoken to the NRL. Hopefully they earn their keep for once.

The thing is TF, we have had great performances like this (Brooks and JH last minute field goals) then haven't backed it up against winnable games/teams.
As you said, hope this spurs them on.
I think if AD was fit and firing at the start of the year, we would not be in this position. He brings a bit of class to the team.
Also I was very critical about JH experiment at lock and I apologise to the forum member who supported it and I didn't.
I think our other forwards have stepped up to make this happen particularly on the edges.
JH made 4 straight tackles at one point so he doesn't lack ticker.
He however didn't take the legs when his mates wrapped up the top and the ball carrier kept making post contact metres.
It takes a lot more effort to grap the legs and hit the ground whilst the other basically fall on the attacker.
He'll get better with that.
Now that I've calmed down a bit I'm even more proud of the boys effort.
 
I’m with you mate.. the NRL cannot keep serving this utter crap up to loyal fans and just expect them to continue to swallow it.. we are students of the game, that decision was so bad , so unfair and so blatantly corrupt that it cannot just be swept under the rug.. we supporters that actually care about our club have had enough of this BS .. Klein is ruining the game for me,, I think he has big issues that must come to light!
 
I think the refs and officials are lucky Australia is a country where end of the day people sink beers have a whinge and get over it. Unlike in some parts of the world where football is a religion and supporters are hardcore nutjobs officials need to move house if a decision similar to this was made in their jurisdiction.
 
Did not see the game live as I was watching my brother in law playing the sax at a jazz gig so my emotions are a little more in controlled than they should.

Anyway Peter V tomorrow has to sack Annesley . These game changing calls have been going on all year and bugger all has been done to fix the problem. Under Annesley watch the football operation department has been abysmal . Second Klein has to be stood down for a month or even the rest of the year. From a punters point of view, todays call reeks of some form of corruption , a ref of Klein’s experience simply could not make that call on the footage he was given.

Anyway guess what nothing will be done

OK so as to the game Itself.
I liked what I saw from our guys particularly 1st half and last 29 or so minutes.
They put in with spades and didn’t give up.
Tragic end but nothing to do with the WT players, coaching staff or the Club.
Carried ourselves with dignity.
As long as performances like these continue I think future is looking much much better.
Still don’t think we’ll get the spoon.
 
AD missed 3 conversions today. Valentine missed none.
That's the difference.
The ordeal is terrible we were cheated but we had the opportunity to kick our goals and didn't.
AD hit the bar on one of them.
