refs again decided the game, no penalty for for WT, and nonexsisting penalty for them to get 14 points lead :bash
We are lucky that we don't have some of are fans from this forum in the team, they would gave up billion times in this game , even at the half time :crazy
WT again played to the last minute, and that is what we want - to be competitive every game.
We greatly missed Noofoaluma, as we don't have anyone who can run his 150 m + per game.
We desperately need some go forward from our forwards, our starting props and 2nd rowers are MIA
Too many passengers in attack: Matulino, Packer, Chee-Kam, Aloiai, Marshall, Lolohea, Marsters, Taylor :deadhorse:
Our best: Brooks, Thompson, Raynolds, Lawrence, Twal, Eisenhuth, Grant.
We will need Halatau to replace Nofoaluma, as we need another strong running wing.

We are never going to win a game by blowing a team off the park .. we have to grind out our wins. But it never helps when you have a win hell bent on making sure you don't win. Grant Atkins in first half screwed us .. Chokes drop out ball bounces around goes throw Benji's hands and his legs, pocket ref 1 meter away can be seen waving his hands and screaming its ok play on .. then from 30 meters away Atkins blows whistle for a knock on !!. Then right on half time Cronk puts a bomb in hope .. except two players are infront of the kicker who chase the ball and jump in the air to swipe the ball or distract Tui .. ball hits Tui's head and goes 30 meters forward when Grub kicks the ball into touch .. Atkins awards a penalty to Chooks for Grub being offside .. why didn't they give the Tigers a penalty for the two players infront of the kicker .. ?? Then in the second half when we were pressuring them on the own goal … Atkins now pocket ref penalises Taylor for not being square at the markers as the Chooks pass the ball and knock it on ... when Taylor has nothing to do with the play when the Ferguson knocks on ... if this is the case they should call the markers not square 90% of the time .. !! Thanks ref's .. Chooks also scored off two forward passes that Atkins was as the ref inline with the ball .. he's a shocker.

Gee the refs were keen to penalise ya in the second half. The inconsistency in their decisions cost us the game. Penalise us for being offside to take them out 8 and then no penalty for the same offence…...

We didn't deserve to win but probably should have. We certainly deserved a penalty in the final couple of minutes but we also should have scored a try. We also had Thompson tackled out and Eiso over the line. We had our chances.

Yeah I agree. We still got lots of holes in our team. But notwithstanding the refs are pathetic. The penalty count doesn’t tell the full story. The Ferguson penalty wasn’t a penalty and then they put the whistle away when they could of penalised the roosters multiple times in last 5 mins.
All I ask is CONSISTENCY. Nothing more, nothing less. No one, repeat NO ONE will ever convince me that we got a fair go in that game.
We can argue all day that if we were good enough, we would overcome those setbacks and I agree, but when you are learning your way and we grind games out, you need a fair go. That way you will at least get 50/50 results. We are constantly on the wrong end of the 50/50s which is not possible unless it's fixed!

Their attack is horrible…but in fairness to the play makers they have zero targets to create anything for. .speed power and size is sadly missing
My observations for what they're worth:
Tui is not a fullback and probably not a first grade player on current form
Time to put the pressure on Mbye to come across before 30 June
We can't pick Taylor at dummy half ever again
Time to pick Reynolds at 5/8
Mahe has errors in him but should be in the team
We need to buy the best hooker available. Liddle is quality but isn't robust enough and MMc and PG are not up to it

Penalty for not being square at marker when Freguson drops the ba then an inocuos penalty in front to put them up by 8.
We fought well but playing ET at hooker cost us the game. We should have scored 2-3 tried early in the game but passing at players ankles put the whole attack off.
Cleary has been a revelation but ET at hooker is now costing us games.
