So it’s catch 22\. Refs penalise the wrestle - it stops but there’s 30 penalties a game. Then they get hammered. They don’t penalise and teams take advantage and slow down the ruck. Game suffers.

But ….... we’ll wrestle tomorrow and get smashed by the refs 26-4 in the penalty count!!

We have a video screen … we show exactly where the refs cars are packed

Seriously though we become like other sides ....refs fear the reprisals from our coaches ....our club and our fans

Watch us win the home crowd games then

Actually, watching the game last night, I thought the Donkeys were holding down longer - especially in the second half.

Anyone who thinks the Broncos will miss the 8 this year, put some cash down, and i’ll happily take it at the end of the year. They were getting monstered the other night, did twice the amount of defending, and were still only down by 10 for most of the game. Their halves are an issue (I wouldn’t feed Nikorima) but they have enough class across the rest of that side that they can overcome it. They’re always slow starters.

It's round one…every year it's the same, with plenty of upsets. It has zero relevance on what happens at the end of the year. The Chooks and Bronks will be top four

Pretty poor effort by both teams I thought.
Roosters had a terrible completion rate and made 180 more tackles but were in it until the death with the Bummies being lucky scoring two tries off rebounds from the post.
Always hate the scum of the league more than anyone… others not far behind though.:grin:
