Gotta re-develop Leichhardt or Campbelltown if we're serious about a home ground. Liverpool is no- mans land when it comes to our fan base
I don't think Leichhardt or Campbelltown are options for this funding.
Liverpool would be WT'S ACT basically half way between Campbelltown and Leichhardt and if it did happen would a new beginning for WESTS TIGERS
Agreed mate, I think it would be great.
Playing out of Bulldogs stadium ? Think not ... rather the stadium at Moore pk !
Wests Tigers playing in the Eastern Suburbs again would be silly.
The club is an inner city club .. Balmain / Ashfield / Concord .. it is hard to understand !
So name change?
I wouldn't be against a complete re-brand of the club if we were to finally decide on a home venue. Whether that be Livo, Cambo or the Inner West.
As it stands we're a bit of a nomad club atm. Not fully embracing our Western footprint whilst clinging on to what's left of our retro era inner west links.
Having the training base at Concord and home grounds all over the shop says it all really
I honestly don't see why "*Not fully embracing our Western footprint whilst clinging on to what's left of our retro era inner west links*" is actually a problem. Why can't we have both? We don't need to choose between fibros and lattes, we can be fibros who drink lattes. Terrible analogy, but you know what I mean. I love the diversity of our fan base.
This is the exact problem I see with our greater fan base. There's still a deep rooted tribalism instead of a united front.
A good analogy for me is we're 'A man of many talents but a master of none'. Very conflicted identity.
I really don't care where our home venue would be, it's just that it would be nice to have a permanent one.
Each time we play at Campbelltown or Leichhardt, effectively half our fan base is cut off. Somewhere bang smack in the middle would be ideal and I'd have no problem making the trip
Yep, just pick one and absorb the backlash.
