Lock

Id say Potter will continue with a 3rd prop style lock, but i wish he wouldnt. I really think we should follow Manly's suit and play Fulton like Glen Stewart. This will allow Fults more freedom in attack, allow a bigger more powerful edge runner to take his backrow spot…and we all know Fults will tackle everything all day if he's at lock.

But i dont think Potter will do this...he will have Fults on the edge where his lack of size will cost us at times.

Much prefer Sirro on the right with somone like Patterson on the left with Fults cleaning everything up all over the park

I agree I hope potter goes that way too. Two big fellas instead of fulton.

But you know potter is a fan of Fulton and he will be In the side in some capacity.

Sue

x2\. He's put on a little bit more size from last year and will be one of the improvers IMO.

With the extra size , mobility and solid defence , imo he will be far better suited in the back row

Then we have two strong defenders on the edges with good lateral movement , something we have lacked since Ellis left

Play Blair as the lock , use his extra size and make him work in short sharp bursts

Defensively setting us up with

8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Keefy
11 Sue
12 Fulton
13 Blair

Is the way to go . Defence is always our issue , we need to worry about that before anything else

Attack will sort itself out with

14 Sironen
15 BMM
16 Patterson
17 Ava / Taupau

Sue,, deserves the spot. Played well in the World Cup . One of the big improvers in 2014

Sue, Fulton at lock. You need a tackle machine so Fults would be my 1st pick. Is Matt Bell still with us? He was a pretty good lock and a great defnsive player, he also has a bit of size to him. Hope we didn't let him go.

8\. Woods
10\. Galloway
11\. Blair
12\. Patterson
13\. Fulton
14.sue
15\. Sirro
16\. Tapau
17\. halatau

How many font rowers do u need on the bench? I'm not sure.

the problem with sue and sirro is that there still inexperienced. Hopefully they will be starters for sure in next couple of years.

Matt Bell has signed on to play Queensland Cup with Burleigh.

Fulton would go well at lock but I just don't think he would offer the same aggression and go forward as Sue would.
IMO our defense would tighten up a bit with Fulton at lock and we would also benefit for his dummy half runs if Farah takes a hit up (which he often does), but I prefer seeing Sue in the thick of things as he really is a handful for opposition defense.

Either way, I will be surprised to see anyone other than Fulton or Sue with the 13 jumper come round 1.

I reckon it would either be Ben Murdoch-Masila or Blair. Sue would be on the bench rotating with the other Second rowers and Fulton would be in the Second row as always.

I'd much prefer Fulton starting at lock, keeping it tight in the middle. Bring Sue on later in each half some added aggression. That boy has some power for his size. Then we can play bigger (and IMO better,) second rowers in Sironen/BMM/Paterson. Fulton is wasted in the second row.
