I didn't think Chambers went for the ball, but that shouldn't have been enough to overturn the 'try' ruling. **Either way, Souths would have won. They were the better team tonight, plainly and simply. The 5-1 penalty count was fine by me, especially since the EXACT same thing happened to Melbourne the next couple of sets to even it up. I think people are just obsessed with wanting Souths to fail. They've clawed their way up from wooden spooners, and worked hard to get where they are today. I personally hope they take out the premiership over any of the other teams in the 8 (except maybe the Cowboys…)**
I do hope Sisa Waqa is okay though, that was a nasty tackle... Whether or not Farrell meant to do it I still feel like he should've been punished more...

Hayne is a known Souths fan so no surprises there. Watching Souths play in an unbiased way I can see somebody wants them in the big one …my guess it will be the SONNY BILL , BURGESS SUCKATHON . channel 9 is sickly with their coverage .

I wouldn't mind a Cows vs. Souths final. It'd be a thriller, engage both states and have the dark horse element a la Eels 2009.

Souths are favoured by the refs though, they'll probably take out the comp.

There was still 15 mins to go when that incident happened, and it would have made the score 14-12 with the conversion. So Souffs would still have won, no question would they, especially with a little thing called momentum in the Storms favour? Righto

I can stomach SBW a whole lot more than i can Mrs Burgess. At least SBW would have earned the right to have the spotlight put on him, the mum is just riding the coattails of her 4 meathead sons and seems to think its all about her.

You know channel 9 will make it all about her if they win it. She'll be on the field as they celebrate and she'll be the centre of attention

A souths vs roosters gf would be a marketers dream. Certainly more appealing than say Melbourne vs cowboys
I'm not saying the nrl or the refs are fixing anything to make it happen, but to me it is obvious that they would prefer a souths and roosters gf

If I may be so bold as to speak for Ink here - I'm sure he'd agree with you about the refs in general, Happy, but they really had no bearing on the result last night and I, like Ink, am wondering why everyone is banging on, ad nauseum, about the refs supposedly favouring Souths. Souths were clearly the better team on the night and deserved to win. Now the Cowboys/Sharks game - well that's another story altogether. Still though I don't think even that was ref favouritism towards the Sharks, more like a brain lapse if anything.

Commentators were saying the same thing how when we won in 05 and how everyone wanted us to win , funny thing was everyone of my mates hated us as we were referred to as a Cinderella story time and time again !! Get over yourselves . Soufflé have a fantastic fioty team , I don't like them but i enjoy watching them
