Wests Tigers have today confirmed that Tuimoala Lolohea will depart the club at the end of the 2018 season.

Lolohea has been released from the final year of his playing contract to take up a long-term option with Leeds Rhinos in Super League.

The 23-year-old joined Wests Tigers midway through the 2017 season and has played 23 games for the club since then, scoring five tries.

Wests Tigers would like to thank Tuimoala for his ongoing commitment to the club, and wish both he and his partner Fallon well in the future.

Sooo nothing official from Wests Tigers yet…

Nice professionalism..

Oh..wd Wests Tigers

Its been a while since ive been as disappointed with a player as this guy. In the end ill just say he didnt suit the culture we are trying to create.

Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

He will probably do well at 5/8 in the Super League, hope it works out for him.

Good that he was released so we arnt paying anything as I think he was on a pretty decent contract with us.

That is the best bit, we rid ourselves of this lazy disinterested player, and we can spend the money on someone who will have a real go

Curtis Sironen Robbie Farah and many many others were also released and our now very own Moses Mbye were also released from playing contracts..does not mean the respective former Clubs aren't carrying freight..

Haven't followed ESL much this year but probably their entire forward pack…

Wasn't that the reason we released him to an ESL club as NRL clubs wanted us to pay some freight.

Good move by both club and player. Will hopefully get his chance to play some solid top tier footy in his most suited position. And we have a few hundred thousand extra to splurge on genuine first graders (hopefully).

Ultimate dud.
Byeeee.

We have certainly had much worse than this guy.

The future is up to him.

Im glad the club has the courage to do whats right for both parties.

You're right.
Lolohea is up there tho.
Massive disappointment throughout his entire career.

Sadly this is becoming apparent.

I really thought he’d make the most of this opportunity. He is sooo capable. But there is something not right. I’m not going to call him out because I don’t know why / but he lacks something to reach his potential in NRL.

Many many many talented players don’t make it for heaps of reasons. Good luck to him

Hes fat.
Its that simple, too fat to fullback ?
Thinks hes more than he is

Didn’t think it applied with players going to ESL from NRL.???
Does he start playing 6 until the end of the year?

Doubt we are paying anything. Writing was on the wall for him he would of kicked stones in ISP all of 2019 and probably lose his Tongan spot and no chance any club would throw 3 years at him.

Joel Moon wants to come back to Australia from what I've heard

I'm guessing he may have played under IC at the Warriors …...........

Yeah I'd prefer Ryan Hall or Callum Watkins but that ain't gonna happen

Can't understand the high level of disappointment, or the expectations.

The guy never cemented a place at the Warriors. Was given all the opportunity at Tigers and couldn't find the form. Why anyone expected him to just slot in as long-term FB or halves replacement is beyond me - he's played a lot of reggies for a reason.

Worth a punt from us and filled a gap we had in 2017\. Has been more than adequately replaced by Mbye and now cleared from the final year that we might have had to pay him.

Neat and tidy IMO; good luck to the guy, he could be an ESL star.

I suppose getting rid of a guy not even halfway through his contract just doesn't feel right. It means the recruitment was way off doesn't it?
