Lolohea

Difference between this Lolohea issue and the Rankin issue was we had Josh Addo-Carr (a specialist winger) sitting in the reserves, however who do we have to replace Lolohea in the fullback position now? Sure, Thompson goes well in that position but is by far not a specialist fullback. On top of that, by pushing Thompson to fullback and dropping Tui brings in MWZ as a winger who offers nothing in attack whatsoever. But, I agree, something definitely needs to be done about Tui and I hope it's Mbye joining early.

Thompson is far from a specialist but he is 30x better than Lolo. Also by moving Thompson to the wing, we lose ALL of his impact.

MWZ doesnt offer much but I would argue he offers as much as Lolo in attack, but in defence MWZ is 30x better. A Thompson/MWZ combination today and we may win that match.

Agree with you for most of this. Cleary really needs to drop Lolohea, and he probably knows this now. However, I was just raising ideas as to why Cleary might be so reluctant to drop Lolohea, because to be real we don't have much to work with at the moment and every positive change seems to bring in a negative one.

What I don't agree with is losing all of Thompson's impact on the wing. In my opinion, his best games have been on the wing when we go down his side, which we haven't lately as we've been milking Fonua's capabilities a bit too much for my liking. Need to remember Thompson was brought in as a winger and has been for most of his career. For now, though, I would put him into the fullback position until Mbye comes (whether in 2018 or not).

He just does not seem interested. No urgency in anything he does & he will not put his body on the line.

Tui got caught out of position numerous times today. It’s effect is exacerbated by his lack of speed in covering up for his errors.

He doesn’t run the ball back with any potency either meaning our sets start on the back foot.

You’ll notice Brooks reaction in regards to the inside kick today. He waves his arms to ask who is chasing - I’ll bet the set play was to be the fullback.

He is not good under the high ball either has refused to contest twice in two weeks.

I am not sure what his future is with us with Mbye coming

The effort on the Gallen try did it for me, that should be his last NRL game for the Tigers imo.
Really disappointing because when we signed him I had high hopes he'd reach his potential.
If you watch his early highlights he's not even 40% of the player he was, his speed and step and agility and ability is light years away from where it was.

Watching his rookie season highlight reel it really disappoints me how low his form has dropped. Really wanted the bloke to succeed

cleary to blame. As bad as lolo is, he didn’t make the team selections. The blame for this falls squarely on IVAN’S shoulders. If lolo is in the one next week I’m off the Ivan fan wagon.

Seems disinterested and just treading water out there.

I don't think he handles pressure well with the Mbye talk.

Last year he looked a different player with no pressure on him.

Send him back to kicking stones in ISP instead of first grade.

Surely Ivan makes the call.

Blame the coach. Imagine the crap Taylor would have copped persisting with him lol. Cleary gets a free pass. They'll bag Tui, but stop short of giving the man who picks him a serve.

Do you always have to find a way to stick up for Taylor ?

Agree. You can see why the Warriors did'nt want & refused to play in NRL even tho they were getting smacked. We need him gone to ISP or right out and take MCK with him.

Just not first grade standard. I have a hunch Cleary is audtioning him for other teams atm.
Defies logic being selected in front of Corey.
We have good enough wingers MWZ, Kev even Fonua could move out wide.

But at what what cost. We can't afford to carry this first grade imposter.

If Mbye doesn't get here this season.

Kevie needs to go to 1
At least we know he'll bring the ball back with some gusto and put his body in a position to stop a try.
If I was Ivan I would have hooked Lolo immediately in that game and at the video session I would have paused and rewound his effort on Gallens try and made it clear to the rest of the team that if anyone else wants to put in halfassed efforts like that, they can join lolo playing against Blacktown for the rest of the season.
