Was given this marinate for a bbq steak , tried it and it was good

4 steaks , rump or porterhouse
1 clove garlic crushed or 1 teaspoon of ready to go garlic
125 mm worcestershire sauce , 125 mm bbq sauce , 250 mm italian salad dressing , pepper and salt
mix all together and place steaks in a tray pour mix over steaks and cover with glad wrapp place in fridge for 1 hour , turn steaks and marinate for a further 1 hour
get bbq plate nice and hot and cook steaks for 4 to 5 mnutes turn and cook for 4 to 5 more minutes less if you like it a little pink
serve with salad and bread roll
no oil is required on your bbq plate
steaks were 1 inch or 25 mm thick

cant see why scotch fillet would not work , maybe the price of it kept it off the list around here its $ 28 kg the other 2 are way less

Any acidic liquid will help tenderize meat and also infuse flavor. These include wines, vinegar, and acidic fruit juices like pineapple, lemon, lime, and orange. You can also add other flavors like minced garlic, rosemary, basil, or sliced onions.

Just cover the meat with the marinade and place in the fridge for a couple of hours to overnight. The tougher the cut, the longer it needs to marinate. That's the first I've ever heard of italian dressing being used for steaks. I've heard of it used as a marinade for chicken wings with pineapple juice, but I'll give that combo a try.
