Looking to new world of structure

With how bad we are going everyone is screaming for answers and ways out of this mess, so i thought i'd try and put together my idea on paper…call it my own therapy.

It's clear that the Tigers need to find some structure in attack. Potter has always planned to do this but has concentrated more on defence. Is it possible the relegation of Marshall is the first step in gaining our attacking structure?

I believe we cant have structure with Marshall in the team and Potter has realised this and Benji could very well be on his way out. Potter is a little tied at the moment due to injuries, but i can see a plan that im praying Potter can.

Its clear Luke Brooks is earmarked as our future 7\. I dont think a player with his style can come in with Benji at 6 because Luke wont know what to do and when to do it with Marshall taking over his role and playing un-structured. However, bring Brooks in surrounded by players that can follow a plan and play a definitive role and the kid will know exactly what to do.

The key is Braith coming back to give the team the balance required. Braith on the left as 5/8, Liam on the right as a ball playing lock like glen Stewart, and Brooks and Farah controlling the centre. I feel Farah and Brooks would love this structure, and by the time Braith is off contract Moses will be ready and Brooks will be established.

Easy transitioning.

Its not just attacking structure we lack. We can scramble with the best in the comp in defence, but lack that all over positional structure, the breakdown in roles, that default shape we can revert to and trust once things get the wobbles, even before the wheels fall of. We dont have the platform that allows the man next to him to know someone will be there, should be there, no matter where we are on the park, neverlone on the front foot or back.

I don't think the problem has been Marshall. It's been Farah.

Farah refused to give Miller the option because he simply didn't like him as a player, or as a person from what I hear. His only other options were run everything or throw it to Marshall. Marshall is erratic and we can't rely on him to control a match.

Every halves partner we've had since Lui hasn't been good enough to warrant receiving the majority of the ball from Farah so he throws it to Marshall or goes himself. Potter needs to put someone in that Farah will trust. That is what is important and what we need. He trusts and likes Fulton and will give him some play. He seems to trust Sironen so that's fine. Neither of them are good enough to be there long term though and Farah speaks highly of Brooks so I think we have no option but to give Brooks to Farah so that Marshall can go back to being AN option rather than the only option.

Moses is cut from the same cloth as Marshall and there's no point rushing him in unless Marshall proves he's had it after playing alongside another halves partner to take the pressure off.

This week we weather the Rabbitohs as best we can. Brooks is around the corner. The indicators are there. Brooks moving to state cup. Miller heading overseas. Marshall being benched. Sironen being given ample time in the halves to absorb control. I just hope the kid stands up to the hype.
