ROOSTERS supremo Nick Politis still carries plenty of clout at NRL headquarters.

When The Sunday Telegraph last week revealed the round 1 draw for next year, Politis was straight on the phone to commercial boss Paul Kind complaining about playing the Cowboys at 7pm on Saturday in the Townsville heat. As a result, the NRL moved the game to a 9pm kick-off and switched the Titans-Tigers to a 7pm start on the Gold Coast.

Love watching the game with my kids, but my youngest (who is more interested) is lucky to stay up until 9 pm let alone until fulltime. It's not a family friendly time at all. Typical NRL really

Agree, most families with youngsters wouldn't attend. Way past their bed time.
