Lost players

Seve didn't play very well in nsw cup as he's a left centre and was played on the right wing…

Not every player can play multiple positions effectively without prior experience. Of course injuries and being played out of position in nyc as well might have already caused his morale to drop.

But if he's told by the coach you're not performing well enough and need to lift your game, and he cries, then that sort of a weak character isn't really needed around the squad either.

This one confuses me a little. Seve wasn't performing to the required level and we try and discipline him by starting them in the RM Cup (fair enough). Yet when he obviously complained we roll over and grant a release.

Surely it is management's choice to either keep or release? Centre is the one position we haven't bolstered in the offseason and he **wasn** one of our brightest prospects.

Without wanting to put the boot into JT, I am concerned that the relationship between player and coach had deteriorated to such a degree that release was seen as the best course of action. Undoubtedly some form of mediation or compromise would have been attempted and would have been the best outcome.

Did that wasn supposed to be was or wasn't?

When we signed JT as coach, surely we knew that his man-management skills were extremely poor, hence why he got jobbed by Fa'alogo and got sacked by Souths. All this is, is another example of these poor man management skills in action.

I know it is the Courier Mail saying it, but I wouldn't be surprised if more players want out. We will eventually get to a point where nobody wants to play for us under JT, which is where we were 15 years ago…

This is what I find confusing. In another thread it was supposed to be his gift of the gob that got him the job?? And when I queried I was assured he did not have interview coaching? Yet he has communication problems? I dunno give up

I'm not concerned.
Hasn't played a single game in the top grade.

Didn't care when Lodge got sacked either, because….
he wasn't that good.

Why do people bring up the Fa'alogo incident everytime like it's JT's fault.
Fa'alogo is just a thug. He had a history of king hitting people whenever he feels like it.
JT may be a goose but Fa'alogo is a crazy thug who will end up killing someone.

I agree that Fa'alogo is a thug but Taylor shouldn't have been there. End of season drinks is for the players and not the coaches.

Yeah but how many years ago was that? You'd hope JT's learnt his lesson. In any case let's give him a go - it's definitely make or break for him this year. I think we've recruited quite well this year considering our financial constraints. Let's see how the boys go on the field.

But back to Seve that is disappointing he's leaving in the sense that he's been talked up so much and we will never get to see how he goes in our colours.

The other interesting thing is - how does that make our strike rate with our Keebra Park boys?

We've all made bad calls but our mistakes aren't played out in the media. Being a 1st grade coach of an NRL side you'd expect he would be more responsible of his actions. He does seem like he has learnt from this though and really if he gets the tigers playing better and winning a few games all this off season talk will be forgotten. Bring on round 1.

What did JT do that was so terrible? Acting like a pork chop drunk doesn't warrant being king hit. He was assaulted and people think he deserved it. What sort of society condones a thug king hitting people?
If he wasn't protected by the club he would probably been charged.
Fa'alogo did the same in the U.S. He king hit someone on the street but reports were falsified by the club that he was retaliating to being hit first. Yeah right.
He king hit Anasta and smashed Liam Fulton in a tackle with a dog shot.
The bloke is a rotten thug.
Don't judge JT on having too much to drink with the boys. We have all done it.

And on Fa'alongo he has turned his back on his retirement plans to join the Ipswich Jets

There are people on this forum who are so desperate that they would even take Pearce.

Without considering his behaviour I have always thought that he was a bit over-rated because of his name.

Glad Griffin and McConnachie are with us and out of the Jets,Fa,alongo would only be a bad influence on them, surely the Jets arent that desperate to take a knucklehead like him…..

There was bad blood between them and JT punched Fa'alogo in the guts. Now i'm sure JT punching Fa'alogo wouldn't have hurt that much but as everyone has said Fa'alogo is a loose cannon and to be honest JT got what he deserved because he started. If your going to give it you've gotta take it.

I've met Fa'alogo…
Furthest thing from a thug these days.

Soft spoken family man to honest.

EDIT:
5 star general as of today !!
