Lote is the man!

Watching heaps of classic Rugby tri nation and bledsloe cup games today and Lote of course is the Wallabies winger in this current 2008 game. He is catching bombs all over the place and made a try assist off stepping 3 all blacks and passing to Ryan Cross. When u look at him now, he stuggles with Bombs and really doesn't have the footwork. Is it cause of Age now? Or just League itself? Cause he is known as the best winger for union in 2008\. Whats ur thoughts guys?

3 years older, returning from 2 fairly bad, consecutive injuries and is playing in an allround stronger competition - that's the way I see it anyway.

I think its a combination of the grind of the NRL and with being 30 odd. I don't think we'll see Lote finish this year.

I agree with the age and injury bit, but strength of competition I don't. The best footy players overall in New Zealand are the rugby players, the best footy players in the UK are rugby players, add in the strength of France and South Africa, he was competing against some very talented opposition.

I don't get why league has to always bag union. In Australia league is better, and the dominant of the two, worldwide it's the reverse. I enjoy both (though the tigers more obviously), and I think we should get over the we are better attitude.

I asked cause I play Union, I've played both sports and easily will say union is a lot harder, the All blacks are the best team in the world and I know league is different but physically not as up there as Union. I asked the question cause the way he played Union he should F stuff up in league. But age I agree with, that would be the answer I spose

Never right off a champion
I know a lot of people were dirty on him for missing that bomb against the Warriors But his form in 2010 was great and he will be back to his devastating best in 2012
He will want to go out on a high assuming that he will probably retire at the end of 2012

I think the injury he suffered against Canberra in Rd 3 affected his confidence alot..he looked like he would be continuing his brilliant form from 2010 in the early rounds of 2011 until that injury. And then of course the 2 other injuries he had doesn't help at all. I reckon he'll bounce back though
